Hi Camaj :) - yes I stand by my belief that it losing to Anderlecht is very plausible - I'm using plausible in the sense of credible, possible. Admittedly plausible is one of those word with multiple shades of meaning.

we're away from home to the top seed - whatever their deficiencies losing to a team like that is a definite possibility - check the odds on the day and i'll bet now that Anderlecht to win is far from being a 10-1 long shot. Indeed it wouldn't amaze me if they start a shorter price to win than us.

Hi Class87 :) As I've already stated it is very unlikely that by beating Aalborg we will have definitely qualifed, lots of people may think it's it's a factual certainty, I won't be one of them, unless of course Getafe drop points at home against Hapoel - which is not very plausble, indeed is highly implausible :)

Incidentlly re the equal points scenario - I checked the UEFA site a couple of weeks ago and from memory goal difference is the firs decider here - which makes sense as teams don't play each other home and away so a head to head comparison is liable to be unfair

Anderlecht are top-seeded by virtue of the fact that they always qualify for Europe, not because they're that much cop. It's been about six years since they got beyond the Group Stage in the CL.

Well, seeing as the days appear to have passed where people post the link AND cut and paste the story, i'll try something new - NOT clicking the link, but posting my opinion anyway  so, lets give it a crack... *clears throat*

OH MY GOD!!! When did they invade then? Wow, the Belgians will be mighty pissed about that, surely? Since they've renamed it Mini-babybelgium (the sponsorship deal for Taco Belgium fell through) it's been touted as a hotbed of monk-on-monk nun-crime, but i never saw it coming to this...

So, through by default and we get all them shoes too!

unbound joy!

It is out of our hands, but we and Getafe are the best sides in the group. Again, Anderlecht are not the force they were 20-odd years ago. The Jupiler League is pants, honestly. If we can't get at least a point from them we might as well pack up and go home.

Villareal are probably the best side in the competition, but I think we can do them.

I'd say the new look Munich with added Ribery, Klose and Toni is the best team that we want to avoid at all costs.

they are going to have to slip up big-time in two of theirs

Well if they lose a game they're level with us

All I'm asking is if you think they'd win. It sounds like you think they're very likely to win. Do you think they're more likely to win than us? I think we've got a much better chance at winning than them.

I agree, Munich look very good ( despite the draw with bolton which was due to taking off their best players whilst only 2-1 up)

But they are terribly reliant on Ribéry. I've been able to watch a fair bit of Bundesliga this season thanks to Sultana, and whilst they look a very good side I don't think they're that good. The overall standard in Germany is well below what it was a few years ago.
