It's quite unrealistic and possibly a bit reactive, but he's looking like the type of player we need, imo!

I haven't seen a great deal of Veloso. Anyone who has an opinion... is he similar to Tymoschuck in style, if not how are they different?!

Arshavin doesn't impress me at all! I think he's a good player but this hype over him is based on some magic moments that appear too few and far between.

Fair point Liberty but surely that assessment can't be based on this game alone? Today he does look out of it but who can blame him after a months worth of back an forth. As i mentioned in an earlier post, Arshavin was brilliant in the UEFA cup, that's where he impressed me, not the euros. In the UEFA cup he was a lot more contestant and I personally would love him to come to spurs.

True, the valuation of him compared to last year has been astounding. Its the typical story though, its all about exposure. After his very good displays in the UEFA Cup and the Euros its is to be expected. I'm sure this has been overstated but what does make him rather suspect is his age and why hasn't someone else spotted him before now? Maybe its been mismanagement, maybe he is just a one season wonder. I guess thats why DL is so hesitant to pay so much.

Advocaat has a good eye for talent though. Speaking of which, Danny seems like a good purchase.
