Manchester United are keen to sign Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris this summer and are willing to offer Victor Valdes as part of the deal.

Yesterday the reports were that De Gea has decided to snub Real and sign a new deal at Manure, today this. The press seem to love undermining Spurs and trying to enforce sales of our better players.

That deal, if true, would require so thought. Southampton have shown it is not simply having a quality keeper that makes you have a tight defence. £25 million could buy two decent defenders.

Doesn't Valdes have a heap load of experience from Barcelona, winning leagues, cups and CL trophies? That's the kind of experience the squad needs to bring in. (In general, not necessarily through signing a goalie).

If Lloris goes I think he'll go abroad. Doubt very much that Valdes would want to come to us anyway and I personally wouldn't want him.

I love Hugo but I honestly don't think it would be a massive loss. Vorm is a quality, capable keeper and the only reason Hugo has become as crucial as he has this season is because our defence hasn't been good enough in front of him.

Don't get me wrong, he's awesome and it's better to have him than not but it's our defending that has to improve so that our keeper doesn't have to produce miraculous saves to keep us in games.

I don't want Valdes and I dont want Hugo at any other club in the Prem but if Real Madrid or PSG came calling for 30 odd million + then I think we'd need to think about it. Especially if that 30 million could be re-invested in a player like Schneiderlin.

I'd still say no. Shouldn't sell to a club we're meant to be competing against.

I don't think United even trusted Valdes in the Capital one cup this year did they?
I suspect there is a small chance that might have a little bit to do with the fact that United were knocked out of the competition before Valdes arrived. I mean, I'm not certain, but there might be a small connection.

Very funny, must have been the FA cup then....

I wouldn't sell unless he kicks up a stink, and even if he does not to another team in the Premier League. I'd genuinely put him in the top 3 goalkeepers in the world, and selling him would again just cement our status as a selling club.

First of all, Real M. may get a transfer ban like Barca, which means De Gea stays (at least for antother season). And I do NOT wana sell Lloris to ManU nor any other EPL club but if PSG came in with a "worthy" bid I would be open for at least 2 reasons: 1) it would bring in needed cash, 2) we do need "settled" player as I have a feeling Lloris do wana play for a CL club and challenge for titles, which is all but natural for a player of his stature.
IF - I repeat IF - Valdez have fully recovered from his injury I would be more than happy to have him, for a nominal fee. But he's been out for 1 1/2 season now, and Monaco cancelled their pre-signed deal because of injury concerns so I doubt he's fully match fit yet (if ever).
Cech has, as mentioned, also been linked but I can't see Chelski selling him to Spurs nor he wanting to join Spus.
