Levy has to go. This is unacceptable and I notice the price of the stadium keeps changing. At first it was estimated at 600m then 800m then 850m now we are at 1bn. This feels like a really poorly run project and is now so far over budget and time it was meant to take.

Levy is the highest paid chairman in the league it does not feel like he should be. In my personal opinion he should be fired. I feel the man is more a detriment to Spurs than asset.

The fact is people don’t want to do business with the man. He interferes in football matters and does not listen to the experts. Then he cannot deliver Spurs Largest undertaking on budget or on time. The Stadium is now costing more than Wembley to build that is without a ridiculous £100m arch. Please can someone explain this or is there some sort of grift here.

He should not be fired as projects of this size often overrun especially as the club were so eager to get it done in record time, but the season ticket holders need reimbursing that's for sure why should the fans suffer for the delay especially with the farce of the window as well.
Levy still gets my support to see this project through as this has always been the vision and dream he has wanted to achieve, I think we should wait and see how this pan's out over the next couple of month's after all we will be in it eventually.

Cardiff has been moved to, first possible game is now Manchester City which even tougher so that’s not a factor, safety cert problems around south east and south west corners I hear.

Man City game can’t be played at Wembley unless rescheduled as there’s an NFL game on that date

Definitely should be some compensation for ST holders for this I think. I'm not one myself so don't know about the prices increases etc. but if they are being sold based upon games being in a brand new stadium then there should be some compensation.

I would have thought that on a development project of this size there will be penalty fees associated with late delivery. It will all be written into the contracts and sub-contracts and is a pretty standard thing from what I understand of the industry. I would want to see those fees somehow translated back to the fans who have paid their ST money in good faith.

This is disappointing as booked my flight from Manila to go to the Cardiff game at NWHL. Never mind will just have to drag myself to Wembley instead. Short term pain for long term gain and all that crap. Will still be worth the wait and I think we all just need to show a little patience.

My brother comes over from Atlanta once every 18 months to two years. He booked his trip home this year around the Liverpool game as it would be his one opportunity to see the new stadium and he was pretty much assured two tickets via the official Atlanta supporters group.
Granted, he's bringing his 8 month old daughter over to see us for the first time, but he's mighty pissed about having had to pay for more expensive flights than if he'd booked for earlier in the year!

I think the club have really let people down over this.

Almost every building project overruns and costs significantly more than planned. A block of flats can be put off by months because of delays...this is a massive project that has to be ready to hold 65,000 people safely and comfortably.

The club have built a 4-5 year project in two years at a massive cost.

The club kept the stadium in Tottenham, which was huge at the time.

The club went to considerable effort to keep us at WHL an extra year... this involved closing the building site and making it public safe EVERY TWO WEEKS. A big deal.

Be angry at the club for how they've handled public relations. Don't be angry and call for Levy to be sacked because there is a delay and the price has gone up FFS.

The cynical part of me says we didn’t spend anything this window knowing we would need to invest to fix these issues

Agree with this. It should never have been rushed like this. The opening date should have been pushed back from the beginning to allow for this. Better to have everything dotted and crossed than to make it look like a rush job. Perception is vital and all this is just allowing the media to make the whole project look like a disaster.

It would have been a miracle if there wasn't some delay like this. It's amusing that people hold the club to a standard rarely upheld in anyone's life. The stadium will be great. Re-building in Tottenham was an excellent decision and reflects a club with proper values. And opening a few matches later doesn't matter at all. It's not an easy time to juggle all of this and yet we're as good a side as we've been in my 40 years. Give them a chance to get this right and it'll be onwards and upwards from here.

Big big gamble though especially if we don't make top four all that extra revenue stream could hurt us.

Spot on, the mans a fool, surrounded by morons, I'd have built the stadium on my own by now and for a fraction of the price.

This is not a long term concern. This is short term. The issues are known, some are contractor related, some are services related. The longer part of the delay is arranging the test events and sign offs for licence.

This is not Levy issue. He has moved mountains to make this happen this season.
So he can use the no doubt massive penalty clauses the Contractors now have to pay for not meeting their deadlines to refund the supporters?!
