In the situation that Oklahoma State lose to Oklahoma, is there any chance of a Oklahoma State v Oregon BCS Bowl game? That would be absolutely phenomenal, they are both so fantastic offensively. I would really fear for Oklahoma State if they play LSU in the championship game.

The biggest problem though is all the major conferences (bar the Big East) have contracts that state their champion must play in a specific bowl. If Oklahoma State win the Big 12 but don't go to the National Championship game then they have to play in the Fiesta Bowl whereas Oregon will play in the Rose Bowl if they win the Pac 12 (against whoever wins the Big Ten).

The only way they could possibly play each other in a BCS bowl is if Oregon doesn't win the Pac 12 but remains ranked highly enough to be invited to the Fiesta Bowl. But the possibilities of that happening are very remote. If the season were to end now three spots in a BCS bowl would be open with five teams competing for it.

It has emerged this morning that the judge who recieved the sandusky indictment covered it. The judge was somehow connected to Sanduskys charity.

This whole town has covered up these disgusting acts.

I think the judge has volunteered or contributed to the charity in the past.

Judge Who Freed Sandusky on Bail Reportedly Volunteered at His Charity

AP
Nov. 5: Former Penn State football defensive coordinator Gerald Sandusky sits in a car as he leaves the office of Centre County Magisterial District Judge Leslie A. Dutchcot in State College, Pa.
The judge who ordered former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky be freed on $100,000 unsecured bail on charges he sexually abused eight boys reportedly volunteered for his charity.
District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, who handled Sandusky's preliminary arraignment, gave his Second Mile charity between $500 and $1,000 and worked as a volunteer for the group, Fox affiliate WTXF-TV reports.

The report comes after separate revelations that Sandusky was continuing to receive hefty pension payouts from the university. According to the Harrisburg Patriot-News, Sandusky took a nearly $150,000 lump-sum payment at retirement and still gets almost $60,000 a year.
Sandusky, 67, has been charged with 21 felony counts for allegedly sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year period. He denies the charges.
Prosecutors had requested a $500,000 bail for Sandusky and that he be required to wear a leg monitor, but Dutchcot ruled that he be freed without having to post any money unless he failed to show up for court.
Dutchcot works as counsel to the firm Goodall and Yurchak. Its website features a profile listing her career achievements, including being named State College Lawyer of the Year in 2005.
It also states that The Second Mile, a non-profit organization founded by Sandusky in the late 1970s to help disadvantaged children, is one of several charities she has volunteered for.
Sandusky retired from his assistant coaching position in 1999, but retained coach "emeritus" status and access to Penn State facilities. Upon his retirement, he chose to take a $148,271 lump-sum pension payment from the State Employees' Retirement System, the newspaper reported.
The remainder of his pension is paid out on a monthly basis and totals $58,898 annually.
"These details have got to be reviewed," Rep. Mike Vereb, R-Pa., told WTXF-TV. "I'm sending off a letter to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Ron Castillo and asking him to look at what happened here, to look at the reports that are out there, and if, in fact, this district justice has a conflict of interest."*
Former Penn State Vice President Gary Schultz, who has been charged with perjury before the grand jury and failing to report suspected child abuse, retired from his position in 2009 but returned to his Penn State post in September on a temporary basis.
He received a $421,847 lump-sum payment at the time of his retirement in 2009 and now reportedly receives a monthly pension payment of $27,558.
Schultz's monthly payments amount to nearly $331,000 a year.
Former athletic director Tim Curley, who was also charged with perjury and failing to report suspected child abuse, did not participate in the state pension system, the report said.
Curley and Schulz both stepped down from their posts when they were indicted. Both maintain their innocence.
The Patriot-News said it had submitted a request for pension information for Joe Paterno, the longtime Penn State coach who was fired late Wednesday after criticism that he did not do more in response to allegations made in 2002 against Sandusky.
Former Penn State President Graham Spanier, who was also fired on Wednesday, was not a member of the state pension system, the newspaper said.

agreed. other than bama, no one can take lsu on (in fairness, it was only one mid-air ball rip that saved LSU in that game). Oregon or both the oklahomas would have very little chance trying to run up against that defense.

This came out last week and it's a bit of a fucking reach to suggest all of State College knew of this, if you were a reporter you would be sued for libel.

The SEC is overrated, good defence shit offense, PAC 12 has 3-4 QBs better than any in SEC, NC will be between LSU if they stay undefeated against OSU if they also remain unbeaten. If OSU lose to OU, then Oregon will rise up rankings by winning PAC 12 Championship game (USC can't play so will be against 2nd ranked South team), Alabama will drop below Oregon due to not being able to play a Championship game, Oregon will be above OU due to their loss being to a superior team. Oregon have improved dramatically from week one and I think will be more than a match for LSU again.

There won't be a SEC rematch for the National Championship.

ok but

a judge
a university president
paterno who told adminstrators but not law enforcement or campus police
mc cleary who told paterno and his dad but didnt try to stop it.

If I saw a male attacking a kid in a shower I would attempt to stop it by all means possible and then call the police immeaditly.

So far we know at least 6 people knew it was happening, there will be probably be more when more shit comes out, Barry Switzer said based on his experience it would have been a secret the entire football staff knew and kept.

But as I said, it's a bit of a reach to go from that to say all 40 000 people of State College knew of it, especially as that is also where the victims live.

I agree that Oregon have improved dramatically from week one but I disagree with your statement that they'll be more than a match for LSU.

Oregon's biggest strength is there downfall against SEC teams. Oregon's main offensive production is through the running game, which works fine in the Pac-12 as the defenses aren't that great. Unfortunately for them a lot of SEC defenses are designed to stop the run and contain linebackers with greater sideline to sideline speed than the Pac-12, which is why Oregon failed to rush for over 100 yards against Auburn last year and why they only managed 95 yards on the ground against LSU this year.

I believe LSU's defense and special teams will be too strong for the Ducks.

Oh I don't think Oregon would beat LSU but it will a lot closer game that it was. Of course this is heavily reliant on OSU losing to OU and the way they are playing it's hard to say that they would, but I think the game is in Norman. But if they were to lose their loss would be against the 5th ranked team, Oregons loss would be against the 1 ranked team.

I'm not completely sure but no other team has put as many points against LSU, their defense has gotten a lot better and I don't think they will give the ball away so much.

Big problem for Oregon is that voters may look at their Rose Bowl loss 2 years ago and last years loss to Auburn and think that they can't win the big big games (as opposed to last Saturday's big game) and give someone else a turn.

SEC overrated! LOL. Last 5 winners of the bcs? Auburn, Bama, Florida, LSU, Florida. And except for last year, they were all big margins. The QBs look good because they are up against terrible defenses.

I agree that Bama might well drop below Oregon in the rankings as they can't play a championship game. I dont think that Oregon will be a more decent match for LSU. 3 point game at the end of OT says it all.

I couldnt agree more. If LSU could stop Trent Richardson, they can definitely stop lamichael james.

I hope this isnt the case. I think it's done on merits of the actual year rather than past experience. Despite all my SEC loving, I do want to see OSU or Oregon against LSU rather than an all-sec game. mostly because I want LSU to piss all over them.
