Harbaugh is a joke

Considering that Brady Hoke and Rich Rod were the previous UofM coaches he is still a leg up on what they have had for the better part of a decade.

Problem seems to be that he can't identify a quality QB recruit if they walked up and punched him in the face and add to that the fact his OC seemed to have forgotten how to coach the o-line.

We don't have an OC. We have an all new offensive staff besides his son and Pep Hamilton(who should have been gone after last season too). Harbaugh controls the offense. Always has and always will.

then that should be step 1....have him turn over play calling to someone else. If Saban can trust someone to call the game anyone can...

But he needs to find a QB. Patterson didn't show much last night (granted, awful oline play and nothing resembling a running game) and McCaffery looks like he will snap in a stiff breeze and had some happy feet going on.

Last year the team was relying on Speight (who got injured, and oddly enough got hurt last night for UCLA as well) and John O'Korn (who was trash).

He needs to get himself someone who can manage the game effectively.

looks like another long season for Texas. I thought Herman was legit but if he doesnt figure out how to win close games soon he wont last long. 5 of his 7 losses at Texas have been by a touchdown or less.

CBS is airing a promo for their new behind the scenes at Alabama show during the LSU-Auburn game... can't work out if they're trolling us or haven't realised we aren't the target audience.

Looks like LSU finally found a QB. He isn't amazing but he doesn't seem stupid and he does seem capable of making the average throws.

I have always been amazed that LSU never seems to land a big QB recruit...they always have freakish athletes across the entire roster, they consistently have massive and talented o-linemen and they always seem to have 3-4 good rbs but i can't remember the last time they had a QB that struck you as something special.

Doubt we could recruit a big QB prospect as they wouldn't want to play in a run, run, pass, punt offense. I think we're at the stage where the only explanation for our QB troubles over the years is coaching. We've recruited some talented athletes like Russell Shepard and Brandon Harris but for whatever reason, we simply haven't been able to develop them into decent QBs.

#13 ranked Virginia Tech with the #19 defense in America just travelled to 0-3 Old Dominion and lost 49-35 to a 3rd string QB who threw for 495 yards and 4 TDs.

Old Dominion was ranked behind 51 FCS teams coming into today by Sagarin. Old Dominion was effectively ranked 180th in the nation.

Old Dominion lost to Liberty 52-10 in week 1.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Maybe VT should stop scheduling games against smaller in state schools filled with players who VT didn't bother to recruit since it hasn't worked very well for them.

Has anyone seen Japanese college football? Some of the names are a thing of beauty - Wakayama University Blind Sharks, Tenri University Crushing Orcs, Hyogo College Siegfried, Momoyama Gakuin University Thundering Legion Lions and Ryukoku University Seahorse (is there any animal less intimidating than a seahorse?)

Uh....the UC Santa Cruz Fighting Banana Slugs would like a word with you regarding the Seahorses.

UC Irvine are the Anteaters

I went to Uni down the road from where 2 other colleges had their annual match-up and their respective mascots were a Purple Cow and Lord Jeff.

Pretty sure i remember seeing that someone has a geoduck as theirs, which seems less intimidating than a seahorse.

 How very dare you! We wear the colours of mardi gras.
Seems I touched a nerve.:D Twas only taking the piss. My maternal half of the family is from Louisiana so many a family reunion happens down there. It does makes me chuckle that an Englishman went to 'Frenchest' state in the union.

Got a question - So you went to a huge SEC school so I know you went to a tailgater or two. I was trying to explain the experience to someone on this board but I think I pretty much failed to convey the enormity of it all. How was your experience and does anything in the 'motherland' compare?
