Butch may have his two players in contention, but he seems to want everyone to win!

I agree, his enthusiasm is infectious...mind you if you can't get excited over this, you will never love golf...

Just to add something to the mix, they're struggling to finish in the dark...Rory six feet from finding water and letting the others back in it

It's never dull with Rory...he's one swing from the greatest or worst shot you'll ever see

Phil Mickelson is an absolute genius with a lofted club in his hands.

Rory needs to get down in three to win. Easier said than done.

My god it's so dark. You can't tell on the screen but the shot from way back really showed it.

And Rory wins....his greatest major in my opinion...he was fighting everything...his poor play on front nine, the crowd, everyone else playing great...but he was amazing on back nine...best player in the world without question....that was tiger esque

It really was. The way he just kept it together while the rest seemed to falter was very like Tiger would have done years ago.

Cheers lads for the reports. Now sitting in the office on a Monday morning. This is the most real time reporting site of all. And it's a Spurs forum.

Worth adding too, the fact he had to wait so long to tee off due to the weather, the fact he was playing behind fowler and mickelson and literally had to watch them go ahead...play was really slow too, he seemed to have to wait to play every shot, not easy when you're trying to get in a rhythm

Well played Rory.

I like Mickelson and Fowler, and wouldn't have been sorry to see either win it if Rory hadn't managed it, except ...

That crowd, with "in the hole" after every fucking shot. In the end I wanted Phil and Ricky to make a mess of it just to shut them up.

Feel for Fowler. Been so close all year and can't get over that hump.

Best thing for Rory's career was breaking things off with the tennis player.
