He's done it again. From last night's IAAF 100m final, Berlin:

Love the guy's attitude where almost immediately after another bout of euphoria he calmly said that he's turning his intentions onto the 200 metres. No gloating, no bus top parades through Berlin and drunken celebrations. Usain Bolt is a true athlete, a winner and a legend in the making.

Absolutely incredible. Watch the race again and check out how fast Tyson Gay is going. Third fastest time in history and he got absolutely anhailated by Bolt. Not sure how he can top that. Sub 19 seconds for 200m? 9.4 seconds for 100m? 100m, 200m, 400m 4x100m, 4x400m relays at the 2012 Olympics?

Usain bolt

hmmm....haven't seen a thread on this so thought i'd start one as he deserves it.

USAIN BOLT 9.58!!!! absolutely amazing....left me in awe.

definately think he can do 9.4.

if he has records at 100, 200, 400m will he go down as the greatest athlete ever!

He was amazing last night. I watched a fair bit fo the athletics so far. She doesn't even look like he's going fast when you see him against the others, he must have a huge stride pattern going on!

Also, really proud of Jessica Ennis. She did fantastically in the heptathlon and fully deserves the world championship!

Bolt covered the course - from a standing start - at 23.35 miles per hour. However, he dashed from the 60m to the 80m mark in 1.61 seconds - 27.79 mph.
If he could maintain that speed over the whole 100m, with a flying start, he would record a time of 8.05 sec.

Britain's Bradley Wiggins was only travelling 7.03mph faster than Bolt when he won Olympic track cycling gold in the men's 4km individual pursuit in Beijing.

Nicked that off the bbc website...the last bit is something else.

Almost as impressive as Usain Bolt was the arse on the Russian pole vaulter who normally wins but came last after three failures without clearing the bar at any height.

But still not quite as impressive as Mr Bolt

Loved Bolt's comments after the 200m heat:

I think the 100m took a lot more out of me than it did in Beijing," said Bolt. "I wasn't in the best of shape, like I was in Beijing, but a good night's sleep should make sure I'm OK.

The guy runs 9.58s for 100m and then says 'I wasn't in the best shape'
