0-1 after the first half. Iversen has scored for Rosenborg and Lars Hirschfeldt has been awsome in goal.

I'm no Rosenborg fan (in fact I fucking hate them really)

but nights like this make me proud to be Norwegian. Fantastic!

haha. Good old Iversen said Rosenborg were gonna win 4-0 before the match. And the crazy thing is they should've won by that much.

Who's younger bro, TCO?
Iversen has never had a younger bro in footie...

I reckon we should seriously look into the possibility of signing Per Ciljan Skjelbred and Alexander Tettey. Two absolutely amazing midfield talents. Skjelbred never stops running, Tettey is a very good holding midfielder who can burst forward out of nowhere and score amazing goals. Only problem is they're both used in a 4-3-3 formation and I could see both of them taking a long time to adapt to a 4-4-2...

I haven't seen Valencia play this season except for the game in which Sevilla took them apart, but reports suggest that their league position is wildly deceptive and that they have, in fact, been complete crap. No criticism of Rosenborg intended, you can only beat what's in front of you, as Spurs did in UEFA last season, but you really do have to wonder what's going on.

Liverpool lose to a team we beat without breaking sweat last season, then slaughter them; Milan are floundering in Serie A, but looking good in the CL. What is going on?

Valencia seemed to be getting back in shape after getting Koeman in place and beating Mallorca away in the weekend, and with a point to prove after losing against Rosenborg last round, I thought they were in for an embarrassing night.. instead they outperformed Valencia in every possible way. Quite amazing. Should have had 4 or 5 goals tonight, and Valenica never threatened their goal. Shows how much difference effort can make in football. You also have to keep in mind that David Villa alone probably earns more than the entire Rosenborg team.

Rosenborg only made 5th in Norway this season, so theoretically we have four better teams up here. We don't, though. :) Rosenborg's been almost like Spurs this year, actually. The way Rosenborg sacked their manager last month reminded me a lot about the whole Jol affair what with the dubious chairman and the outraged fans.

Old people like me are in the early stages of senile dementia,

I was crossing my wires, Iversen had a younger brother who was in a car crash years ago.
I'm confused maybe Arne-Risse has a brother ?

apols.

total football, eggenesque, a joy to watch a team overlap the fullbacks and attack constantly away from home against a team supposedly 10 times better. Iversen and henriksen announced they would attack.. funny how mestalla started cheering ffor Rosenborg a couple of times in the 2nd half.

No idea about any brother of Iversen I'm afraid, so you might be right there.

Riise has definitely got a younger brother, Bjørn-Helge Riise broke into the national side this year and has played very well for Lillestrøm this season. Best as a right winger.

What a fantastic match to watch! One of the best games Rosenborg have ever played. What a performance, with a lot of good passing football, and movements. They played better than Real Madrid, Milan, Barcelona today, and this match is a match that all teams can learn from. The answer to playing good football, and the exact way to do it.

Y. Kone could have had a hat-trick also..... Only unlucky not to score, after some good saves by Hildebrand.
