Louis van Gaal says he knew he was taking on a big rebuilding job at Old Trafford and has no regrets about becoming David Moyes' successor after a difficult start to the season.

I for one am glad that our team will be spared from his potentially disruptive influence in the dressing room. Great as he is.

haha

He's done a fucking great job at rebuilding ManUre, no team balance and paid a fortune for a few prima donnas.

Imagine how well he would have got on with Dan the Man in the TW.

When you have 2 pts in 3 games, after playing Swansea, Sunderland and Burnley, I'm pretty sure you can't say the Spurs job would be too easy for you

In hindsight, despite me really wanting him to become the manager I am so glad he went to Utd instead. One thing that bringing in MoPo gives us is somewhat reduced expectations and therefore more time.

I also fear that VanGaal's "cracking the whip" style is not what we needed but a more diplomatic authoritarian.

I am glad I was wrong

Typical van haal interview, he makes a big deal telling everyone who'll listen the obvious, stating it as if none of us knew.

We dodged a bullet with this ego maniac.

To be the 'number one club in England' you have to finish top of the league. United and Van Gaal will be lucky to finish 5th this season. Do the maths.

Lets see how easy we are when we come to OT and beat you for the third year running, and then watch you get the sack. The players will be so hyped up for that game as well. LVG should of kept his mouth shut. Faggot!

will be interesting to see what happens if Utd don't get CL next year. Will be interesting to see if the players who have joined "the biggest club in the world" ((c) SKY sports) decide to forego their massive salaries (which, if papers are to be believed, have their highest paid players receiving £300k p/w!) and leave for a club in the top competition.

You only get the Spurs job when it's 2 points after 8 games!!

Sounds like he has already started making excuses. Transfer spend 400% more than ours, with wages 350% higher than our highest but with an expectation of getting 4th same as us - yeah sure your role at ManUre is much harder.

It's not just more time with MoPo, it is building something long term (if Levy allows it). LVG was only ever going to be a plaster covering up faults. This is more of a bucket list for LVG competing in the Premier League then building a legacy or something long term. United will still be in the same position when he leaves.

Heres a thought. If ManUre do not get into the Champions League this season, is there a danger of them falling on bad times due to the lack of money coming in? Like Leeds but obviously not as drastic.
