Ingenious!

Question is, when will this be rolled out in this country as it's such a simple yet effective solution to combat encroachment whilst increasing the chances of nestling one in the postage stamp!

Think I read it'll be introduced in the Champions League next season but the next logical step is surely to introduce it to all domestic leagues.

..and that's where it wont happen.

I figure it will take off in Europe after the World Cup. Already widespread use in South and North America.

Should be fairly cost effective i'd imagine and if Blatter is talking about inter-planetary tournaments then i'm sure a vanishing spray in the Premier League isn't far outside the realms of possibility.

......hopefully.

I honestly can't see a reason why it shouldn't other than fucking bureaucracy!

I thought it was a waste if time but now you mention it, it might improve the chances if goals from the FKs

What I don't understand is the spray in front of the ball. Is that too check that it rolls out for an indirect?

Just in case the player moves it forward a few inches when the ref's not looking.

Could you imagine if that stuff was being used when Gazza played? He'd nick it off the ref and in 5 minutes all others would look like Mr Whippy.

Only thing I don't like about it is that the ref sprays directly next to a ball on a free-kick, which invariably means the ball picks up the foam once its kicked.

It would piss me off when I kicked the ball and put me off, I don't understand why not just do it near it
