Could easily be our Mo Salah this year. Shame so many players waste their talent at the mega rich clubs and so pleased we've rescued him. I thought he looked very good on the few occasions he got a chance last season but this time he's gone up a level.

I absolutely love Lucas Moura. I was stunned that Paris let him go. He is an unbelievable talent. I'm just so happy that he decided to join us. Hes going to be a massive massive player for us. I can't wait to see him tear defences apart at our world class state-of-the-art Stadium. COYS ????❤

I paid close attention to him in pre-season and was mightly impressed. I think we can safely say that he is like a summer signing. With a full pre-season under his belt we are going to enjoy seeing his full potential flourish. Like I said in the match thread Lucas is our new VdV - the skill and passion for the club are the same as Rafael.

In fairness, he hardly wasted his talent there. He made 230 appearances for PSG and was a very important player for them. He only fell out of favour when PSG brought in Mbappe.

Agree with the VDV comparison, his got that fire in his belly, gave me goosebumps to see him blazing a trail through United's defense.

He is presses so well, hopefully he will inspire a few others to do the same, I felt we have gone from really pressing the ball high to doing this crappy 'fake press' a lot of the time where we run at the player and stop a yard short, Lucas pressed to tackle and win the ball not just to make them pass it off.

Who else put him in their dream teams?

After which he left in the first transfer window, rather than wasting away on the bench.

I think teams are left thinking how are we going to cope with Moura and Kane and Eriksen and Delle. You can't allow any of them space ?

I appreciate the hard work, pressing and running off the ball but the aspect of his game I like the most is the twatting the ball right-footed past David de Gea into the far corner and causing the Stretford End to empty quicker than if there'd been a bomb threat. Under-appreciated aspect of his game, imo.
