So, the last game before another international break. What result do we want? Would definitely prefer a draw myself, but I guess it depends how serious a threat anyone sees Villa to our top 6 aim of the table...

So far I'm more concerned by Villa than by Everton really... think Everton has performed admirably for a couple of season really and think maybe this year could be a bit of a fallback if they don't get going.. 3 losses and a draw in 7 games, and only faced Arsenal of the teams from the upper half of the table so far..

...Back to Villa and City..

Anyone else watching this game?

1-0 for Villa!

Corner taken, Dunne of all people lifts over Barry of all people to head home the advantage for Villa.

I stupidly dropped Dunne to the bench in my fantasy league team thinking there was no way he'd be able to keep City out never mind score........

Fine header.

It was coming. City dominating the last 10 minutes or so.

I think Bellamy was about to be taken off.

Hard to say what result will help us. If we have a chance of catching ManC, then we'd want them to lose. OTOH, if they're too far ahead we'd want them to win. I think a draw splits the difference.

3 minutes to go plus over time till the power down and it's splits even with one apiece.

Ah, aren't they trying to catch us?

And from this—didn't see all of it as I was watching the cricket—I don't think we have too much to worry about from either of these two, provided we're at our best. They'll not be looking forward to playing us, that's for sure.

I think a lot of Citeh fans would happily still have Dunne over Lescott. He was an absolute colossus for Villa tonight, still had the Citeh fans singing his name
