Villarreal are willing to offer forward Samuel Chukwueze as part of a deal to keep Tottenham’s Giovanni Lo Celso at the club on a permanent basis.

They have made this ‘new proposal’ to Tottenham, suggesting that Spurs offer money plus Lo Celso in exchange for Chukwueze.

Good player. If we bring him in I can't see us going 30million for Deki though.

Wow … we paid €32M for Lo Celso, they paid €500K for Chukwueze. The latter has 12 months left on his contract and refuses to renew. Lo Celso’s contract with Spurs runs until summer of ‘25.

And they think WE should pay THEM?
😂😂😂

For a player unproven in the PL, that is 1,72m “tall” and most likely will be gone for AFCON in January and February? When we have Kulusevski and Porro on the right wing?

It would be so utterly stupid that it could actually happen, knowing Spurs.

The big difference being that we want to get rid of Lo Celso and they would probably happily keep Chukwueze.

If we get him and his wages finally off the books and a decent player in return for not a massive fee, bite their arm off!

Expect Villarreal will have some ridiculous valuation , if you use football transfer valuation sites as a guide they should be giving us money or a straight swap

In the article it says they want to keep him and have tried to renew his contract. When the player doesn’t want to renew, the club more than likely would prefer to monetise than let him go for free.
So even if there is a big difference in the why the player is for sale, and also a big difference in the preference to keep/sell; both clubs are selling. And the difference of that fact is minimal.
