What if he doesn't? and his own form and confidence suffer as a result.

He has proven himself as one of the best young number 9's around, I think he deserves to play in a position that suit his strengths rather than being shunted around to accommodate another less experienced player. Especially when we have specialist number 10's such as Eriksen who will be better in the position than Kane could ever be.
And if he doesn't I will have been proved wrong.
It's not as if playing him at 10 (like Poch did 2nd half Everton and on Saturday) is irreversible decision. Harry didn't look unhappy and I think enjoys the extra involvement.
He's still the main man and just sometimes plays deeper where he can have more affect on the play.
When the system that Poch plays works at its best the front four have total fluidity anyway and the opposition are unsure who's going to turn up where.

We don't know how good Kane can be as a 10 yet. What if he scores more this season?

If Kane is to become an effective 10 he'll need to curb his 'shoot on sight' instinct and improve his awareness of what's going on around him. IMO we need somebody who already has that ability to compete with Eriksen. With Kane and Janssen on the pitch together we look a bit one dimensional to me.

While we probably need another creative AM to help break down these park the bus teams, Jansen's ability to hold the ball up in confine spaces such as he did against Inter for the Dele goal could well help us to overcome the ptb teams !

.... but last season's stats show Eriksen was in that tier.

not even the same kind of player imo. we needa player who is fast as fuck, can dribble like a mofo, and contribute 15 to 20 goals to really turn us into a true powerhouse.

chadli, son, njie, are all in that mould, except just not quite good enough yet. chadli is a lost cause for me, i'll love to see how much son and njie improves by this season.

technically the player we are calling out for is the leverkusen son, but he seems to have disappeared.

we have too many "quite good" to "good" players. too many 6.5 ~ 7.5/10 kind of players.

definitely need a true superstar thats of kane level to make the next step up

We can't afford a 'true superstar' so it's probably better to readjust your expectations and hope that one of our many talented players step up to that level.

From what I saw from the Palace match Kane had numerous chances to score and created abundantly for others, he can be a great no10.

Players without pace develop a passing creative teamwork game and you can clearly see this is the case with Harry, on top of this he has immense shooting power from outside the box and a good sense of space.

If Kane does end up becoming a proper number 10 for us and improves his passing ability. I can really see him playing the no10 role to perfection. His work rate will be the key because he will always end up having chances himself (and most likely converting them). Just needs to improve on his final third decision making. Exciting times especially having Janssen in front of him. The perfect foil for Harry.

Taking all that into consideration...Kane can be the Totti of Tottenham! :)

We as fans get too hung up on positions and numbers, especially when it comes to strikers. Up top we just need to have the best players on the pitch. Kane and Janssen are both excellent...they will figure it out and cause havoc for defenders. I saw both linking up play excellently against Palace.

Optimistic! Can't see it happening. Would love to be proved wrong.

I think Alli could be better in that role than HK, you may also say that MD has a shot, so I think we have players who can play with 2 strikers in front of them.

Why push one of the best finishers in the game back? Kane needs a better supply line not become the supplier.

If Janssen's inclusion means Kane is going to be played as a 10 I would prefer Janssen not to play.

Guys it's not as if Kane never took up 10 positions anyway! He didn't just hang out in the box waiting for service. He went back and got it on the half turn just as he did yesterday.

I'm fine with it as long as the goals freely flow.

Video of Janssen's performance in the Netherland's latest 2-1 loss to Greece. Janssen grabbed an Assist.
