I can't imagine Basel will be able to afford him.

They might, they've sold off a lot of their stars recently which took them to the top of the Europa, and look set to sell more with Fabian Frei being linked away.

However, I think I'd be surprised to see Chiriches agree to it. I think he'd likely hold out for a move to Italy.

I don't know for the certain but I get the impression they don't really pay big fees or big wages. Kind of like Celtic. I might be wrong though.

Oh you're certainly right there, but with their longtime captain, Streller, retiring they may feel the need for replacement of more immediate quality. Is possible they may deem the investment worth keeping hold of that CL spot and possibly even pushing to possibly make the elimination rounds.

Just to clarify, you're probably right, I just don't think it entirely beyond plausibility. Even so, I think he'll undoubtedly prefer a move to Italy.

I don't think we are lucky enough to sell him, funny how our transfer windows success is more determined on if we sell our targets. Vlad, RS, Ade, Capone, Lennon, Kabs, holt by,

How times change, just two years ago we had the vast majority of SC salivating at a couple of his YouTube videos.

Vlad is obviously more or less done at our club, and the horror matches have been many.

Nevertheless, he's had a couple of great performances too. Away at Everton last season, where he had Lukaku in his back pocket, and the game at Old Trafford, where he was bloody King'esque. Good luck too our drunken genious wherever he goes.

Even the fans who were up to date with the Romanian league said he was pants but then showed signs of improvement over an 18 month period. Being poo and then improving whilst playing in a Mickey Mouse league should never have warranted us spending £8/9m on him.
