there are extremes on both ends of the scale, ridculously critical and ridiculously positive.

To me both are annoyin. However, I would say when the team are struggling, the "critics" so to speak, are more justified in what they are saying, regardless of how annoying you may find it.

Maybe they dont offer solutions, but equally saying "we got a draw at anfield - good result" also does nothing to solve the problems that were evident in the game.

I find myself arguing more on the side of the "wrist slitters" because to me they are pointing out where to improve, although admittedly sometimes in quite a strong tone which i may not necessarily agree with.

If we had had a blistering start to the season, I'd be more aligned with the positive ppl, but that is not the situation we find ourselves in at the moment.

It has absolutely nothing to do with solving problems or offering solutions. None of us can solve anything whether that would be by giving the squad a collective hug or having them all lined up and shot. That is the point, we are powerless.

It is not that I don't share many of the sentiments of the naysayers, nor is it that I think they shouldn't air their views, it is simply that I personally find negative people depressing. I am a very positive person by nature, I love to believe that positive things will happen to me, and in fairness they often do.

But when they don't I make a very conscious decision not to moan about it for too long and just to get up, look at what I might have done wrong and try harder the next time. Thats just me.

Just how bad is the situation we find ourselves in at the moment? Is it any worse than the one we have been in for the past 20 years? Probably not, in fact we are probably better off than we have been in that time.

We have some very talented players and a manager that loves the club. Yes, Robbo is having a mare, Ledley is still missing, Lennon has lost his way and Arsenal are the best team in the prem. But surely to god, it is better to believe that these things will change than it is to not only sit and wallow in our failure but to share it with others?

I honestly don't know how or why such people even bother to support spurs.

The same could have been said (and probably was on SC) of the situation after seven games last season.

This season we are one of the favourites for the UEFA cup...

But do you really think it's going to stay that way?

If we put together a good run over the next couple of months we could be sitting quite pretty come Christmas and wondering what we were all worrying about. I look at our next three games, then at Liverpool's, and tell myself we could be level with them by Guy Fawkes' Night, and that really isn't beyond the bounds of possibility.

No, but its highly unlikely when you`re conceeding the amount of goals per game we are at present. Its difficult to win games when you are conceeding on average 2 goals per game.

I'm a Spurs supporter.

SUPPORTER.

I'm not happy with the way the team are playing. I'm not happy being just above the relegation zone, but I still support the team.

I don't walk around with rose tinted glasses on, I know we have problems. But I will still never stop supporting the team.

My hatred for those who complain on forums such as these is that they are so inconsistent. One minute EVERYTHING will be wrong. 90 minutes later, we're the best team in the world. There is no middle ground.

I'm not saying everyone is like that, but some people are.

We've a very decent chance of winning some silverware this season. The doom mongers just need to take a chill pill, there is alot of football to be played, your possible going to look a bit silly come May.

The only table that really matters is the one after 38 games.
