It's a sad state of affairs when this happens to your first choice right back and you're not even bothered, I feel back for not caring that much as he's been in poor form for the last few months.

As our last fixture is on 24th May, that means he is out for the rest of the season. It's worth trying Yedlin for some of the last few fixtures, but not the Saints or Man Shitty games, I think we need more experience for those ones.

I'd keep the same back four as the last game, the only question being whether Vlad should replace Dier. The alternative would be to play three at the back with a five man midfield and two up front.

Lloris
Fazio Vertonghen Rose
Lamela Paulinho Eriksen Bentaleb Chadli
Kane Soldado

I wonder if any extra damage was done with him coming out for the second half and trying to play on?

The words "changing" and "horses" and "midstream" come to mind.

He's only recently came back from a massive long term injury and naturally his form was quite bad. Now out again for the season maybe, should really cut him some slack.

How many people wrote of danny rose when he came back from his long injury and was playing poor under Tim Sherwood

This means his season is ended. As we are not fighting for top 4, there's no more reason to have make-shift RBs. It is better to play some of our fringe RBs with an eye to evaluating their suitability for next year's campaign.

No need for him to rush b

We haven't got anything to play for now anyway, so Poch might as well play Yedlin, regardless of the opposition. And if it all backfires and somehow we finish out side of the Europa League places – GOOD!

It's Walker's decision making that is at issue. Rose improved at the same time that Walker did not, which is of concern. There is a meme that the role of the fullback has changed, but he makes bad decisions in the box and his passing is often abject, especially in our half.

There's the problem: he should have seen an orthopaedic surgeon, not a horse; unless he saw a Man Called Horse, in which case that's not a case of jogger's nipple he's got.

We have nothing to play for, he is our only RB, and Poch's system relies on pacey fullbacks. Dier and Vlad are not right backs, and neither really play well there. Also, Dier hasnt really been playing that great recently either, to begin with. So, yeah it is completely worth giving Yedlin a shot from here on out.

For those who think our season is over and Europa (as shitty as it is) league is no worth fighting for, let me remind you that Harry Kane's performances in it elevated him to the first team and the rest is history.

Sorry, I don'tagree. Whilst it's most unlikely we will get anything more than a EL place, I am a believer in the adage "It ain't over until the fat lady sings ". It wouldn't be the first time that a couple of teams lose the plot at the end of the season and we should keep at it 100% until the lady is in full voice.
