Wanyama is back. What does this mean for the Squad?

I'm not sure it is. Son is a mainstay now, his pace, directness and exceptional movement is integral to the way we attack. We simply attack better as a side when he's in the team.

Dembele has been phenomenal, but he's just not quite as effective as he has been.

I think moving Eriksen a little deeper would improve our passing from midfield, he covers so much ground anyway.

Squad game and all, but if I were picking our absolute best eleven at the moment, mine would be:

Lloris

Alderweireld
Sanchez
Vertonghen

Aurier
Wanyama
Eriksen
Rose

Son
Dele

Kane

Fair point and I think you're right

He looked very strong when he came on.

I'd like him to start Saturday to give Sissoko that full week rest for city

Hasn’t he been ‘back’ for ages but been down the pecking order?

A fit big Vic is a fantastic player. Hopefully he gets some minutes against Huddersfield to give us another body in midfield until the end of the season. Sissoko deserves a break

That was the Wanyama we love last night. I thought we lost him forever.

If we keep him fit then we actually might have DM covered, just don't need to rush him into lots of games cos Sissoko is in beast mode at the moment. Let Wanyama recover after games so we don't ruin him again

He's been out for so long it's easy to forget how immense he is capable of being, he needs to play alongside a certain type of CM though, him and Dier was an awful combination, Winks should do, not so sure how him and Sissoko would work for a full game though.

If he can stay fit, or can be effectively managed, it probably reduces the number of CMs we need in the summer by 1 - which would be fantastic.

Technically, he's no magician, and I'd be worried if he was paired with Dier or Sissoko...but I can't think I've seen a stronger player in midfield. He's such a unit

I thought he was, but to be honest that might just be a rumour; not sure if any of the ITKs confirmed that

I believe more than one, and possibly even JJ have said that he wouldn't (would struggle to) pass a medical if we decided we wanted to sell.
