Watford are dismayed at Tottenham's request to play their Carabao Cup match in Milton Keynes and warned the "integrity" of the competition is in jeopardy.

Watford are well within their rights to release an official statement about a venue change if they have a problem with it. They haven’t done so. Sky Sports ‘understands’ shit-stirring gets them attention.

If they kick off it might make Spurs come out and make some more statements about the progress with the stadium.

"We have identified a problem with the critical safety system so we're moving more games to Wembley" was ok a few weeks ago.
The uncertainty is again causing the media and fans alike to speculate. Eventually that wild speculation begins to be regurgitated as facts and eventually some one thinks it was official.

Spurs no doubt don't care if the media report something that's not true, but a lot of fans will accept it and it all goes a bit mental.

I would rather see Spurs drip feed updates. Even if they say "sorry, we still don't know what it is and when we'll be back on track" rather than letting Sky Sports and the Daily Fail make shit up.

Integrity lol wtf they on about? Can’t be arsed to read it but we get zero advantage playing at Milton Keynes as far as I can see.

They wouldn't have moaned about the integrity if they got a day out at Wembley.
Even if Wembley was available though it's pointless as we'd likely only sell 20-30k for a 3rd round EFL cup tie.

The best thing for them is to keep quiet until they have positive news of progression, no-one wants to hear about anything negative, all it's gonna do is piss people off even more.

It's not about advantage it's about money. If the tie is reversed they get the majority of ticket money.

Watford don't have a single, solitary thing to be upset about.

They have been drawn away in the 3rd round of the league cup. It is utterly irrelevant where that game is played and whether the club they're facing usually plays in that stadium or not. They weren't drawn at home so they don't get to play at home.

Ridiculous that this is even a story, though that might just be Sky Sports being twats.

Even if information was drip-fed both Sky and the Daily Fail would still make shit up.

I'd be in full agreement if it wasn't for the speed at which bullshit travels and becomes "fact"

I notice they didn't suggest playing at Vicarage Rd with them receiving the 10% ticket allocation. I really doubt they'd actually complain about MK in all honesty.

Semi-OT: has anyone here noticed that there are 154 affordable housing flats physically wrapped around the outside of the stadium at Vicarage Rd? It's the strangest development, a truly odd idea. The housing association that owns them is one of my main clients and I'm doing a load of work on this development at the moment.

Here it is.
