tale of 2 halves. didnt see how we could lose in the first, got abused in the second.
It's easier in hindsight but as soon as we got the goal we should have switched to 4-2-3-1, we've proven over the last few seasons that once we get that goal in these games we up the ante and the opposition struggle to get anywhere near our defence. I don't think that set up out there was ever capable of doing that.

Am I the only one getting really fucked off with Alli's show pony performances? He may produce the odd bit of magic, but 95% of the time he is a complete passenger. Until we get someone to challenge him for his place or Poch rakes him over the coals he is going stagnate big time!!

I often get slated for criticising Deli. Welcome to the club.

What a way to lose to Watfod. Kane, Dembele, Eriksen and Alli were crap today. Watford deserverd to win. We play like that we will have no chance of winning the title.
The only chance we had of winning the title was if all the big sides mess up. We aren't going to do better than them otherwise with half the resources. Just look at that bench today. Although obviously the genius decision to spend £45m and £150k a week on Sissoko and Llorente doesn't help.

No, I said we can put the “title talk to bed”. Not talk from me, but the hype train created after winning at Utd.

There’s a difference.

I didn't see anybody saying we could win the title anywhere. Not in the media not even on here (tongue and cheek comments aside). I think subconsciously you thought we had a chance.

Fucking hell lost the game from a lead. Poch needs to have the hair dryer treatment.

Kane alot more to do as a captain TBH. Not sure is he too tired from caring of his second child.

Not convinced we should play 3 at the back. At Fulham we started good but needed to make changes as Fulham pressed forward. Much more in control of the game with 4

Personally I thought the tackle from Deeney on Sanchez fired up the whole Watford team and the fans...and we had no answer to them bullying the fuck out of us.

What's the betting Watford will immediately fold when they play Liverpool.
The difference is Liverpool will play their most effective shape against this lot and maximise their chances of a win.

We didn't.

If we'd have gone for it we'd have won this.

We had enough weaponry.

Instead poch chose to have us overwork for goals.

Plus, our defending for their 2 was tragic tbf.

Anyway, good on them for taking their chance and doing us.

Fair play.

Unfortunately, today we have proved the pundits right. Going 2-1 down, you look at the bench, and there’s not one player that can change a game. Also, a special mention to Kane that could have sealed the game being 2 against 1 and totally bottled it. Disappointed and frustrated would be an understatement.

How is having a pass blocked by a defender bottling anything? You must literally not understand the meaning of “bottling”

Just shows how much people are influenced by media narratives. A player for any other team in world football does that and no one would mention that word.

Sanchez struggled last season there too. He's been really poor at getting to grips with big men like Deeney and Mitrovic so far this season

He's too deep mate. He is at his best playing off a striker where he doesn't have time to think about what he's doing. Neither dele nor Eriksen are CM's and Poch needs to understand this and quickly. It's no surprise to me Eriksen's form a=has been poor this season because he's being asked to play a different role than last season. Hopefully Winks can start matches form the opening whistle soon and Eriksen and Dele can move further up the pitch again where they actually affect play.

Full credit to Watford, they defended well and took their chances.

Our attack never got going today and I thought Eriksen in particular was poor.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but I think we could have done with playing Luke Amos in midfield today. We got bullied too easily and played like we were just expecting to turn up and win.

I was worried when I saw Dier wasn't playing.
Dembele was woeful from the start and should have been replaced after 30min imo.
Eriksen has been poor lately and carried on today.
Kane missed that header and that easy pass to make it 2.0 was just plain shite.
There were far too many falling on their arses looking for freekicks and losing 50/50s.
Passing wasn't quick enough or penetrative enough either imo.
I dont understand how you can go into a game against big physical lumps you know want a fight and think this is the game for Dier to sit out.
And frankly the marking for both goals was non existent. Piss poor.

It was Spursy, just deal with it. We beat utd at old trafford and then lose to watford. What isn't Spursy about that?

It’s a fucking embarrassing term, drop it. It makes you sounds like a melt millennial that’s been supporting Spurs for all of 5 minutes

In a sense, but on another occasion we'd have had Lamela and Son to bring on. That's like Chelsea not having Willian and Pedro or United not having Martial and Rashford, their benches wouldn't look like having much either. Not saying we don't need more but I still think it doesn't look so bad if everyone's fit.
