Interesting to see stats on how many times we've beaten a top 5 team and then tried something 'clever' in the subsequent game against a lower tier team and lose.

Iirc we've done it several times now.

Losing from a winning position against Watford with a totally settled side is disgraceful. There’s no other word. It can’t happen, and yet it did. And they deserved it.

Andre Marriner is consistently shit whenever he officiates us. How the fuck was that double footed challenge just before Watford’s first goal left unpunished?

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Normally I get exasperated when people go off on one after a bad result but to be honest, when we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over, it's hard to argue.

It’s only ironic if it’s the same people. Otherwise it’s just different people with different opinions, with irony nowhere in sight.

Nope there definately is irony in the narrative of the dier thread all week being he’s not good enough and then the narrative of the match thread just a few days later being that poch should’ve bought him on earlier.

All that being the same people would have made it was hypocritical aswell.

The only chance we had of winning the title was if all the big sides mess up. We aren't going to do better than them otherwise with half the resources. Just look at that bench today. Although obviously the genius decision to spend £45m and £150k a week on Sissoko and Llorente doesn't help.
Sissoko may have had more defensive discipline than some.

When the best CB in the league has to come off for LLorente, you must be asking yourself....is it time to go?

Did that just happen ?

I'm seriously fucked up. Diabetes high before the k.o. - bloods 14.9 dropped down to 4.0 in 2 hrs.

Shaking like fuck - dunno if it is rage or stupidity.

Stay calm my friend, your health is too important to get sick from watching awful performance. Chill out, don't watch any football until the Liverpool game. Be well buddy ?❤

Sanchez struggled last season there too. He's been really poor at getting to grips with big men like Deeney and Mitrovic so far this season
Yet for 60 mins or so he was fine. In fact he bullied a couple of their's for the ball. He will become more experienced in how to deal with the bully types, when to let them just take the ball or how to anticipate their move first rather than go for it first but get outmuscled.

We play like that we will have no chance of winning the title.

I'm amused & surprised at anyone talking of Spurs as title contenders. We finished a distant 3rd last season and made no investment to improve the squad. No chance of winning the title.

Poor performance all round especially from our creative players. It was a battle out there & after we scored we came off 2nd best & got out battled defensively.

In a sense, but on another occasion we'd have had Lamela and Son to bring on. That's like Chelsea not having Willian and Pedro or United not having Martial and Rashford, their benches wouldn't look like having much either. Not saying we don't need more but I still think it doesn't look so bad if everyone's fit.

Some people were always going to blame our first defeat on us not buying anyone.
