Eriksen was rancid today.

I said in the summer our lack of CM options would hurt us this season. I still can't believe we didn't sign a CM.

Dier was rightly dropped after his pony performance at OT. Then Dembele decided to disappear at half-time today at Watford. Alli had a poor game deeper and Eriksen, he never turned up and he hasn't yet this season.

Kane & Lucas said last game that we can win the league lol
How about they should’ve just focused on the next game instead of living in dreamland

Agree but nothing we can do now until the summer this is what was going to happen when we decided to buy no-one.

It WAS a classic Spursy performance wasn’t it. Dominate the game, don’t score, get a fluke of a goal, then get bullied into a loss for the last 25mins. Classic!

We are a joke going forward at the moment. Kane and Alli were a disgrace. Neither are fit or sharp or good enough at the moment but we don’t have the strength in depth to not start them. Kane I can understand starting as we have no-one else but Alli has been awful for a whole season now - and a World Cup - and yet Poch still starts him. Crazy.

Eriksen was terrible today too. Moura did his best, caused them a lot of issues in the first half but had very little support or decent balls to work with even then, and then he tired. Would be very unfair to criticise him.

Despite us dominating the game for 65mins Watford were more direct and dangerous - on the counter attack at home! - even before they took control for 10 mins and buried us.

Poch should have seen this and changed things so we were more solid at the back - this is probably our best defensive lineup remember, but today we always looked vulnerable. Toby looked like he doesn’t want to be there.

There’s no way City, Liverpool, Chelsea, United or Arsenal would have lost that game. We are simply not good enough at the moment with not enough grit or strength in depth.

Some might say this is just one loss away at the best Watford team in years - but the all round nature of it is a big worry. There are problems behind the scenes in this team mark my words.

Dembélé gave away such a stupid freekick when he should have had control as the ball was already away from the Watford player. The main way Watford were going to get goals would be from set-pieces, so avoid giving them the opportunity.

Yeah that was amateurish. He often gives stupid fouls away but that was just laziness

Perhaps because it's self depreciating and gets churned out every time we draw and lose. It's akin to the fat ginger kid with glasses at school shouting "I'm the fat ginger kid with glasses". Or perhaps it's because it's lost its original meaning which was essentially "when it's impossible to fuck up, spurs fucked up", a 2-1 away defeat to a team high on confidence sitting unbeaten is not "spursy", being 4-0 up at 80 mins then losing 7-4 would be the true definition.

So what? If certain spurs fan want to be self deprecating let them, if you don’t like it just ignore them

I'd like to see Winks get a run of games now. It wasn't Dembele's fault he was on his own in CM but with it clear he's declining and maybe even leaving in January, I want to see how Winks does now. At least till January when we may buy someone.

Look, we didnt play with enough zip and tempo on the ball, and we eventually got out muscled off the ball.

Watford were horrible to watch but they're organised, and very effective.

Had we played with more zip and opened them up properly the game would of played out differently.

Credit to Watford how they played. Eriksen, Ali and Dembele didn't really get it going today, despite dominating possession.

Dembele is a bit of a worry for me, he gave the ball away at least of 5 occasions where he should have done better.

3 of the best and most destructive footballers in world football were passengers in a system against watford for fuck sake. Manager should see that! All fault is at pochs door! We had 1 shot on target in 55 mins! Really that is title winning football

Then ignore those who don't want to call themselves "Spursy", fair game?

Just goes to show what 2 players missing can do to our bench, more injuries will come during the season & it will be ridiculous if we don’t strengthen in jan

we absolutely controlled the midfield for the first 50 minutes - the possession was around 65-35 up until then. I agree wholeheartedly we need another midfielder, and a good one.
