Don't see signing United's / englands record goal scorer as giving up exactly.
That's like saying a couple of years ago we should have been after Bobby Charlton.
Rooney's days are behind him. I don't think we could afford him - or probably anyone in the Premier League. He'll be off to USA or China.

Doubt many will be off to China with their new ruling. MLS bound imo.

10 goals in 16 PL league games. Not bad for a fat bloke who’s past it.

Still, glad we signed Llorente.

Also, he's still quite clearly a terrible fit for us, just because he seems to fit for someone else doesnt make that any less true.

In fairness, from what I've seen, quite a lot of his goals have been from penalties and tap ins. Can't think of any others, other than that goal vs Arsenal when they lost 5-2(?)

Love the cheeky little bump, to be fair he is doin a job at Everton and who woulda predicted we would be this hit & miss, coulda been worth a punt but hindsight is 20/20. Either way he woulda shagged one of our lots nans whilst smokin a benson & driving a motor pissed at the same time and ruined our team morale.

I don't blame him for shagging nans, not one bit

Why was this ever in spurs chat without being locked in the first place, given that Wayne Rooney has absolutely no relevance to Spurs and has never even been linked?

Not fond of Rooney. Had a beer with him once and offered to buy him a Jalfrezi afterwards, but he said "Nah, but I'd love to get my lips around that naan though"
