what an interesting thread.

we all have opinions, and clearly some are closer to my own than others. and there tends to be people whose opinion i agree with 99% of the time.

my opinion tends to be in the minority on a few things; a simple example being that i would play pavlyuchenko in every game because i think he's the best striker we have. i'm not anti any player in particular but, like others, i reserve the right to state my opinion on a forum like this.

i'm thrilled that tottenham are 4th and with a decent shot of being 3rd on merit. i'm not too fussed we didn't buy a striker and i'm delighted we didn't get the OS.

but i want us to be 1st. and i will always look for ways that improve Tottenham as a team and club. i personally probably agree with Harry 20% of the time and I agree with Levy all of the time (Jol's sacking and the OS stance excepted). however, i don't doubt that they want the best for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. i just differ in how we achieve the goals we want.

i love my team. and so do most of the people on this site, which is why i come here as much as time allows. my only issue is those who resort to name calling and swearing. there's never a need for it.

100% agree (well, 99% - I think we needed a striker).

Have some rep sir.

I think we're all entitled to our opinions, this is a site for Spurs fans and for non-fans who happen to 'follow' Spurs alike.

I quite like the banter, and the fact that people change their minds constantly - hate them one minute, love em the next, express their frustration, the level of expectation and the fact that the Fans ARE Spurs - the manager isn't, players aren't nor are the Board - they come and go, but FANS stay! Hence fans can express their opinion whether positive or negative as long as it doesn't turn into filth or unwarranted profanities and insults or childishness for childishness and filth sake.

and this is what makes this site great!

Hence I disagree with the original poster, and suggest he just let things be.

I think this site is a fair reflection of us as Spurs fans and our relationship with the team and the club - love them, hate them, love a player, hate the same player, love a manager, hate the same manager, love the tactics, hate the tactics, want stylish football, want winning football, want all out attack, want defencive solidity, want to be top four, don't want to sell our soul to achieve it, want to spend money to bring in players, want to use financial constraint to secure the club's future, want to stay at WHL, want to leave, want a bigger ground, want to maintain the atmosphere at that new ground, love Levy, hate Sugar, love Hoddle, hate Graham, love King, hate Gallas, love Redknapp, hate Redknapp, Hoddle was better than Mackay, Lacy was worse than Scales.

Debate is healthy, but we should acknowledge that we are all Spurs fans and while we might not always agree with each other we can agree with one thing, we want Tottenham Hotpsur to be successful.
