To the tune of the animals came in two by two or whatever it's called:

We were heading out against Ajax, Ajax
But Moura told us all to just relax, relax
96 minutes on the clock
But Lucas didn't give a fuck
He still sent the yid's off to Madrid

Nana nana nana nana na naaa na naaa (etc.)

:D:poop:

I know that city use this and Palace. Not a big fan of ripping off other clubs songs but this fits and gives a nod to a historic performance and a man that will be etched in our hearts forever; to the tune of ‘Glad all over’:

2 down in Holland
(2 down in Holland)
No hope in sight
(No hope in sight)
That pass from Dele
(That pass from Dele)
Now we’re alright
(Now we’re alright)

COS WE’VE GOT (CLAP CLAP) LUCAS MOUURRA, WE’VE GOT (CLAP CLAP) LUCAS MOUUURRRA, WE’VE GOT (CLAP CLAP) LUCAS MOUUURRRA NOW WE’RE FIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNEEEEE

Interested to get peoples thoughts as I can imagine this being belted out by the Park Lane in recognition of one of the single most iconic performances by one of our lads
Would be reclaiming the “Tottenham Sound” of the Dave Clark Five from CPFC...

A bit more refined.... the last bit can be sung over and over again.....

Lucas moura scores his first
All the yids sing c'mon you Spurs

Lucas moura scores again,
another goal, and were off to spain

Lucas moura scores again
20,000 yids in spain
yids in spain
yids in spain
20,000 yids in spain

I've been singing this all day.....but only the last part sticks. So I'm refining further:

Lucas moura scores again
20,000 yids in spain

To the tune of Daydream Believer by the Monkees (first verse needs work)

Oh, I could hide 'neath the wings
Of the Cockerel as she sings
And Lucas Moura would, run down the wing
He goes through, with a flick
From Dele, then with a kick
Tott-en-ham are off, to Madrid

Cheer up Em - ery
Oh, what can it mean to a
Spanish wanker, and a
Shit football team

I just like the last four lines....says it all ! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It’s criminal that Moura doesn’t have a song sung to the tune of that’s amore.

I’m sure I saw one doing the rounds

He’s the boy from Brazil,
He’s got pace he’s got skill
Lucas Moura

As he runs down the wing
He can hear the yids sing
Lucas Moura!!!

Simple, effective and I’m sure they’ll add some lines about sending us to Madrid

Laaaa laa la la la laa la la laaa laaa laaaaa Tottenham!

Laaaa laa la la la laa la la laaa laaa laaaaa Tottenham!!

It just fits with the song. He was one of their biggest signings, one of the most marquee they've made. They're our rivals, etc.

I shudder when I hear "stand up if you hate arsenal" when we're not playing them.

we all hate it, but as has been mentioned we do it to piss the stewards off, and most probably when we are winning and on the box to let any gooners watching. everytime they play at home it's something they sing about us, and so do Chelsea but that's usually when they are playing us

We could definitely do with proper songs. Or a proper song. Like YNWA at Liverpool and Celtic. West Ham have an anthem that communicates some atmosphere, togetherness, and tradition. I think City, the Geordies, and maybe even Chelsea have something (though these don't resonate as much outside of those clubs, I reckon).

We don't need more chants designed for current players, which will by definition be temporary. And we don't need something haphazard like wonderwall or whatever the players threw on in the dressing room as background noise.

It'd be nice if the club or a local historian could dig into this question a bit. We can't go back in time to make a traditional club song, but we can set a new precedent for the future to have something that resonates and becomes affiliated with great occasions at NWHL and beyond.

I dont really care that our songs are not inventive or unique. It just needs to create noise and have everyone singing in the ground to support the team. We can just sing Everywhere we go, Glory Glory, When the Spurs go marching in and being a yid continuously in Madrid for the final plus the odd player song. That is good enough. Let the Mickey's come up with new songs if they want.

Although I'd like to sing a new song about winning the champs league. That would be nice :)

Glory is our song - has been before YNWA!

Well, it's not nothing. And if the wall or whole stadium could sing a sustained version for a couple of verses, that'd be decent. But you'd be hard pressed to consider it a classic footy anthem, and chas and Dave didn't really overwork themselves on the lyrics:

Tottenham are the greatest team the world has ever seen
Tottenham are the greatest team the world has ever seen
Tottenham are the greatest team the world has ever seen
And the Spurs go marching on
Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur
Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur
Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur
And the Spurs go marching on
