Our first choice signing in January should be Taye Taiwo. This player is made for the Premier League, and what a player he is.

Marseille are in a bad position at current time, and it would be a good period to make a bid for him.

If you still doubt him, take a look at this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aP0r4Zb5mc or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZU-AlgqXIU&feature=related

I also said before the season started that Le Mans was a team to watch out, and they are now currently 4th. They have so many great players, and Romaric, Gervinho, Sessegnon, Samassa to name a few...

I think you are right. A LB is defintely a solution to our problems at CB, DM and LW. He's just the player for us. Much like Chimbonda he is great going forward, but hopeless defending. We need more deffensively weak players.

wow, he's exactly what we need when we have bale, lee young pyo, and not to mention the extremely promising berchiche coming through the ranks.

our problems are at CB, CM and LW, but what the hell, eh?

like i said the other day, biggest comedian/baiter on the site.

You've said as much many times before, and in your other thread which is still on the first page of this section of the forum.

I think this needs to be locked, because he's said it all before, and also before the abuse really gets going.

22 years old, only real standout fact i've found about him is that he can shoot with his left foot.

Aside from a couple of runs in the waffa, Marseille haven't even been a shade of the side they had in the early 90's, about the time Waddle was dancing about amongst the wine and cheese. They've been consistently average and, in many respects i guess could be compared to us in their wandering dillusions of grandeur, without the necessary prop of money and a board with ambition.

With that in mind, and considering the fact he's played almost 100 games for them in the last three years without attracting the attention of any other club, aside from rumours of the Magpies being vaguely interested (but, then again, i'd be more shocked to see a story that clearly states Newcastle AREN'T interested in any random player) says to me that he aspires to nothing more than what he's currently got, or else he loves it there.

I've no doubt the money would attract him, if it was offered, but in the real world i make you wrong, Mr SK, this fella is not the way forward.

Bring em on.

It bothers me sometimes that so many are so quick to turn every single post SK makes into a circus of spaz, instantly - i expect some of you don't even bother reading what he's posted before laying into him, right? (of course, now you've made a point of reading it and, even if you didn't, you'll still say you read it, just so i'm wrong)

Yeah, some of his posts are purely spilled from the anus, but just filling every single bloody thread he posts with insults with no real reason, other than it's Spursking nominating another French-African player.

Chill the f*ck out, some of you, eh? If you don't like what he posts, don't come in here. If you don't agree with what he suggested then respond with a reason - it's a forum, not an arena. Stop acting like monkeys.

If we can manage to sign Taiwo at a bargain now, we have done a great deal. Many Clubs would want a player like that in their team. If we act early, we can get him. We are still a bit too late, but he is still at Marseille and avalible to pick up for a reasonable transfer fee.

With Assou-Ekotto out, Lee beginning to get older, and not as good as before, we need a new left back. Bale is used as a left winger mostly. Another left winger would also do. To compete with the very best, we need a big squad with good players everywhere, and good competition for places.

But if so many other clubs want him, where are they?

I really can't see how you can say, with such conviction, that he will improve our team instantly

I've watched plenty of Marseille - they are my French team, to some extent (meaning i don't hate them for being French) and this guy is part of the same crop who have continually underachieved for most of the last 3 or 4 years and i don't see the desire from him to improve or reach a higher level.

Not the way forward for us, in my opinion.

how is lee old, hes what 30? he still has 2 or 3 years that he can give us which is fine, hes experienced and played at a decent level for the majority of his career. with bale being under 20 (i think) and benoit young as well we have a good set up, yeah benoit is out for the year but bringing in another left back will just clutter the place up aswell as pretty much writing off any of the younger players progression into the left back

also bale will be a left back, an attacking left back, he has played most of his spurs games there.

although taiwo is a good signing on football manager (cue the i dont make my judgments based on a computer game, yet i will not say or even hint as to where i get my information from reply)

We've also had a Spursking recommendation to buy a right-back who actually appears to play at LB or CB. Not only that, he plays for a side that makes Derby look good. I mean, I can't imagine even Derby fans boycotting a home game and hanging an enormous banner saying 'We're staying in the pub' where they usually sit, which is what the Metz supporters did the other night.

It's nice having Setanta. Previously it wasn't possible to get too much of a look at SK's favouritest league. The standard really is dismal, no better than the SPL. In fact, I'm not sure it's as good.

Oh yeah. Forgot that. And he's rated Toulouse as 'One to watch +' . I assume he meant the rugby team.

I can see why a lot of you might get tired with Spursking making these kind of posts. He's suggested so many Prem suited players now it is getting rather silly.

What i don't understand is why many of you jump on anything he has to say every time. If you're that opposed, why bother even looking at them? Move on is what i suggest.
