How? He had lower ppg than Sherwood, they both had the same squad. Plus AVB wasn't playing our only goal scorer. I would say one thing is clear, we were just as bad under AVB as we are under Sherwood, and there is not a single piece of evidence to suggest AVB could have done any better. Can you imagine if we had had some stability this season. I think if we had kept AVB we would easily be on 70 points right now... and even if we had beat Norwich and West Brom we would be 65 and right in the mix. Fuck sake.

That isn't evidence that is an assumption.Actually there is evidence to suggest that as players like Eriksen and Chadli started to adapt and the team gained some cohesion we would have started to pick up more points. We would have had a set way of playing instead of Sherwoods lottery every game.
Remember a couple of games ago when Dim started with Bentaleb and Siggy in a midfield two?
We would have more points.

We were poor under AVB, and we regularly had a thashing, the same under Tim. The only difference is Tim played Ade, and this is one massive negative about AVB. I am not trying to say Tim is good, he isn't, but to suggest AVB would have archived a higher points total makes no sense.
They had the same squad, and almost immediately Sherwood had them getting more points and more goals. I don't like either of them to be honest. Both very disappointing.

Did we? I remember the City and Liverpool games and both those sides have battered teams this season including Arsenal. The West ham game was strange and a fluke and I'm gonna choose to dismiss it!
Anyway, under AVB we had a game plan and although we played like a very boring Guardiola Bayern side we looked in control of almost every game and you can't say for definite that after a couple more months we wouldn't have been firing on all cylinders.
I'd rather have a manager that tries to implement some form of tactics than just send them out there to have a kick about.
He wasn't playing because the manager didn't pick him. The reason for that seems to be because he was a ****, however the manager still chose not to play him.Lets not forget that Ade wasn't playing because he was being a massive ****.

I agree entirely, but at what cost to AVB? He may have cut his nose off to spite his face. Many games we were solid but couldn't score goals. Ade may have been the key player at that time, and we will never know. I do believe AVB was wrong to ignore him, and he should have dealt with the problem, not let it fester for months.Would have been a massive risk playing a player who was showing descent to the guy that was in charge. We all know what Ade is like when he doesn't fancy it.

Well, Jason wasn't Puncheon above his weight last night.
