I'm not so sure. By the time we're in it (and even if that were tomorrow) all the new stadium will now give us is the ability to compete against the so called 'bigger' clubs and West Ham. Even Liverpool are now pushing at the 60k capacity door and they haven't had to build a completely new ground to get it. Newcastle have had a massive ground for ages and if they ever get their acts right there's another one knocking at the door.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying we won't be better off but it isn't outrageous to suggest we might not be. I ain't counting no chickens........Unless i'm making sure KFC haven't stiffed me in my 16 piece bucket that is......:D

I think the benefit that the stadium can/will bring hinges on the naming rights.

Increased weekly income will help, although I suspect gone are the days when ticket sales were effectively used to balance out player wages.

But a good naming rights deal and all the commercial benefits that could hang off that could give us significantly higher income than we have at the moment and allow us to compete financially with the traditional big boys.

Mind you, you suspect that Levy could be given the annual income of the OPEC countries combined and still try and insert a staged payments clause into a transfer.

Overreact much? I just don't see how we've improved our starting eleven from last season, how is that such an unbelievable opinion to have that it merits such a reaction from you?

I like both Wanyama and Sissoko as players but how are they better than the regular central midfield we had last season exactly? You're actually saying it yourself that our midfield was really fucking good last season. I'm the one who should WTF your post, not the other way around.

7 doh's and 1 WTF for this post. I think this season pretty much agrees with my opinion from the start of the season.

Totally agree with OP, great window.

I dont get the people who moan on about the fee for Sisokko. In the current climate it's not even ridiculously over priced.

I also think a lot of people are going to be surprised on just how good this guy can be. Pace, power, high energy, he"ll create more space for the likes of Eriksen and Lamela.

If Poch can get this guy performing consistently we'll have a serious player.

Have you changed your opinion or do you think his problem is just his fitness?

Other players who went for £30m or less this window: Kante, Pjanic, Mkhitaryan, Morata, Hummels, Sanches, Gotze, Gundogan, Volland, Kramer, Werner.

This isn't "the going rate", we got properly mugged off.

This sums up the forum. You were right but most disagreed with you.

There's a reason I originally rated the OP as Funny...

Let me guess...

Because you saw a temporary collapse after 12 games?

Because you are Mr hindsight and you always knew that our signings would flop after a quarter of a season despite signing long term contracts?

Because it's your coping mechanism to say I told you so just to make yourself feel better?

We got mugged because we thought it would be a last minute bargain! We wanted a cheap last minute option hoping that a player will be flogged out to us!
We should have gone for Mane and Dembele (Fulham to Celtic) at least...

He's played well but the team played better when Dier was pulling the strings and setting the tempo. Fact.

Let's see when more or the best players come back. Wanyama had an absolutely enormous game when we beat City.
Other players may well have to make up for his passing deficiencies like Eriksen did at times by dropping deep to help Dier in the build up phase last season.

Dier never pulled the strings for us like he has done for England. That was Eriksen's role.

Super-Fact.

No, because he said it was the best summer transfer window we'd ever had.

Bit "spikey", calm down dear.
