Best transfer window ever.
We've cleared out virtually all the players we don't need and have signed everything we do need.

Our absolute priorities were and ST and DM, we got the top scorer in Dutch league and a proven prem player and international captain in early (Janssen and Wanyama).

We then needed a 3rd goalie especially as Lloris is injured, a pacey winger and a direct strong pacey versatile attacking midfielder, we got all of those today (Lopez,NKoudu,Sissoko).

Yes Sissoko was overpriced but so was Mane,Stones, pogba was nearly £100million for goodness sake!!! I'd have been much more pissed off has we not got sissoko and he'd gone to Everton and done really well for them.

What the game against Liverpool showed was that we lacked a couple of pacey attacking players to really make them think, N'kodu and Sissoko are exactly that and from potch's post match comments they are exactly what he thought we needed and what he wanted.

Top top stuff. Levy gets enough shit from people but we now have a squad with 2 quality players in every position, a top young manager, the best training ground and development on what will be one of the best stadiums in Europe.

Perhaps we can dare to do now and start winning things again?

COYS.

I honestly think signing Sissoko will be the difference between us for example coming top4 and not and/or reaching at least CL quarters and or a cup final.

Hindsight, it’s a wonderful thing!

For those people knocking or do not appreciate Levy, if you had a choice and chance, which other current premier league Chairperson would you rather we have? Is there that Chairperson from another club you admire and wish they were ours? Serious questions.

The West Brom chairman who hired Pardew.

Are you really unable to see how Chelsea's issues provide a context which emphasises the superb job Levy has done here?
Contrary to popular belief, Chelsea's issues have NOTHING to do with Spurs or Levy. Chelsea's issues stem from Vladimir Putin being a ****. Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis do not have such issues. Sorry to rain on your wankfest in here.

Yes, well done for recognising that the exact situation doesn't relate to Levy, but you're completely missing the point. In fact you're somehow managing to both miss my point and confirm my point at the same time - Levy and Lewis don't have those issues, and that is exactly why our growth has been so impressive.

Again, the Chelsea situation provides a context for, and a contrast to, Levy's achievements with Spurs. Chelsea look like they might (and it's only might at the moment) be the next Leeds or Portsmouth, another castle built on sand crumbling when the tide comes in. Building an empire on criminality and shady business deals is brilliant when the money's there and the titles come in, but it can come back to bite you in the arse if the owner's whims dictate that he might just stop investing or fuck off completely, just as spunking money they didn't have on Seth Johnson or Sulley Muntari came back to bite Leeds and Portsmouth in the arse.

The point being that Levy hasn't chased ethereal oil barons for investment or bet the house under the vague notion of 'living the dream', and the continual growth throughout his tenure is even more impressive when it is highlighted that one of the clubs that has consistently finished above us in that time have done so by, essentially, illegitimate means, and now stand to lose their power because the owner's illegitimacy is seeing him hounded out of the country.

Levy has spearheaded the gradual growth of our club from mid-table irrelevances to title challengers and European threats - we are not perfect, and he is not perfect, and there is a lot more work to do, but it is important to remember that all our success has been built on sturdy foundations, which sets us up well for the future.

Now tell me again how the Chelsea situation is irrelevant to us because the specifics aren't identical.

Fifteen major trophies against a new stadium. WTG Lofty, that showed them chav ****s :D

Yep, and it's been a recurrent massive kick in the unmentionables (edit) to endure. Just like that bloke Orwell predicted. A boot, kicking you in the unmentionables (edit). Forever. I paraphrase of course, but, even the most cynical can see it's all coming together for us, and falling apart for some of our rivals. Apart from City. The new boot on the block.
