I don't take any notice of the ITK as most of it doesn't pan out or doesn't actually mean anything.

This place has become obsessed with it. Like, unhealthily so. You're putting people you don't know on a pedestal and hanging off everything they say.

Ok forget the ITK. My point being you spend all your time on this forum and see all the rumours and everything. If you did the same on another team's forum, I'm sure you'd hear about other deals that take an age or never get over the line.

I have edited my post above since you quoted this.

and I suggest that even with the salt which I do add, we should wait till the 9th before all toys are thrown out the prams

Do you need any toys to keep at the ready though?
I'm more than happy to share mine if you need something to throw.

You seem under prepared for this.

I do hope no one really takes me seriously. Like really. I'm not a serious person.

Whilst this conversation is mostly about this window and how this, our biggest year in decades, is falling apart, I'm not judging him on one window.
It's every window. Every year. Without fail.

On the one hand, he's delivered this world class stadium. On the other, he's been acting like a twat in the transfer window year after year. I think he'll be genuinely confused why it happens when Poch says enough is enough. "oh but we tried Mo, we really did, but we couldn't get the deal over the line. We have learned lessons though"

This kind of shite only happens to us.

CIES rated our squad 2nd most valuable in Europe last season. If Levy is such a “twat” how did we manage to assemble such a squad guess it was all luck ?

To be honest you are trolling.

I mean I'm not angry or moody.
If I come across that way, it's all just a character.

Doesn't mean I don't believe Levy is now holding us back and will ultimately drag us down (not relegation, to avoid doubt)
You're being an idiot because the club haven't signed the players you somehow think you deserve. And so are all of you who actually believe this.

Let me put it in simple terms. Levy owns the club. If he 'drags us down' that is money out of his pocket when it becomes time to sell. He is a fan, he's a winner and wants the club to win/be successful because a. he gets enjoyment (like us all) but b. It means that his personal stake is worth a lot more money but unlike you or any of us (including the ITK lot) he knows everything that's going on at the club.

Sorry to be a little harsh but this mindset is as ludicrous as it is pervasive.

:( Since you're not trolling, I was hoping for a sensible conversation.

I'm struggling as absolutely no one seems to understand and absolutely everyone seems to totally accept the situation is what it is because there is no other alternative.

For seriousness sake - having a valuable squad doesn't mean anything unless you want to sell.

All the players we want to sell are worth feck all. We can't even get decent money for Toby and he's actually good..
Think about what we'll get for Jansen, GKN Sissoko (if we even can) Llorente,

We have a valuable core 11 and a totally worthless collection of additions at the moment.
Its not even a case of selling to raise money to buy, we need squad space but we can't even seem to give some of the shit we've collected away.

Our dealings have been scattergun for years. Some pay off, most fail.

Some pay off, most fail.

I'd say it's more 65/35 pay off/fail in the MP era. And Levy has done a decent job getting his money back on quite a few of the ones that didn't work out. That doesn't seem like a terrible ratio to me. Most, if not all, of our buys are young players and they're not sure things - they're bought for potential. But, yeah, we're stuck with five or six now that we would like off our hands and it doesn't seem like there's much interest. I guess there'll be some urgent loan business in the next ten days.

I still think our matchday 18 is much stronger than it was two years ago. That's where we've strengthened in the last few windows and it needed to be done. Improving a very good first XI is very, very difficult, as we're finding out, even with money to spend. There just aren't many players on the market who would improve us and prising them away from their clubs or beating competitors to the punch is tough.

Na, I have disagreed with several people in here.

You openly admit to playing a character which is trolling.

I'm not trolling. Trolls just say things to aggravate people. I have no such wish.

You need to understand that not everyone thinks Levy has done well for us. Or at least as well as he could have done.

I'd rather not come back after the window closes to say I told you btw.

Shouldn't that be end of the season, or maybe next window ?not signing a player or players someone wants doesn't mean he/we fail. That should be where we finish the season and cup runs.

Every time i see comments to the effect that we must wait until the transfer window closes to judge Levy...WHY?

Can you imagine you in the sack with this freaking hot chick you giving it your all. You doing things you've never done to any woman and then she must wait till the end to judge your performance:cautious:.

you good or you fucking louzy in the sack. No need to wait for the encore to know it.

Yeah right.. It doesn't freaking work that way.

Yeah, they’re the same thing.?

Essentially I want us to bring in quality.

For that I will until the end of the window to judge our business.

What business.... We haven't done any business. I agree if we'd made a signing or two it would be premature to judge BUT with 10 days we haven't a made single signing... We have had 2 months to do that.
