WELLINGTON NEM

Fluminense to Tottenham
THE INSIDER says: 2/5

Tottenham have strong links with Internacional and have scouted the Brazilian market more extensively in recent years as they look for the new stars.
Although a move for Bruno Uvini didn't match initial hopes they have not been put off and are returning on a scouting mission this week with Wellington Nem understood to be on the radar.
The diminutive Brazil international, an attacking midfielder, has been watched most recently by Juventus and CSKA Moscow scouts but was also linked with Arsenal.
He has electric pace, is creative and scores goals. There are question marks about his size for the Premier League but he is strong enough to cope with some tough challenges in Brazil.

I wonder how much chelsea will sign him for.

Another attacking midfielder - do they produce anything other in Brasil? Lucas and Sandro, a few strikers and faazends of AMs it seems. Wonder if he can drop a bit deeper behind the AM and take up Modric's position in a middle 3. Size isn't everything as Luka has shown.

True, size isn't everything but this guy's only 165 cm in stature...

 That's a couple of inches shorter than Modric. Are we getting into medical definition territory here? Little person etc?

Let's stick with the man mountain that is Moutinho then. All 170 glorious cms of him.

The Mail's 'Insider' gives the impression that he's privy to the inner workings of the transfer world but I have it on good authority that his name derives from the fact that he lives inside a hole in Wales and hasn't seen sunlight since 1995.

Isn't he a winger?

Why are we being linked with all these young, unproven wingers? Fine if it's a Remy or Cazorla or Hulk but I judge them on the "Townsend scale" and it just seems redundant. I like Nem though. Hopefully he could cope with the physicality of the PL. I mean just look at Aaron Lennon. He's terrible in the Thunderdome Premier League, right?

(the point is the size argument is the biggest load of bollocks, especially for wingers, I've ever heard)

I think that most of the these attacking midfielders can work just as well as central midfielders, the only thing I wonder about is how good they are at retaining the ball. They certainly know how to dribble and pass.

His pace is hardly electric unless there are some electric pacy defenders in that clip too. He was not leaving people in his dust
