I'd like to make some points:

1) We don't have a poor record at Wembley when it's a neutral stadium. We've played 3 finals against title chasing teams when we were just a top 6 team. Our record is won 1, drew 1 and lost 1. We lost a semi final to a title chasing team with the aid of a ghost goal and the deafest against Portsmouth was our only truely poor result, and that came at a time when we were more focussed on a top 4 finished.

2) Our record at Wembley when we're the "home" team is undeniably shocking when compared to our record at WHL. 13-2-0 vs 1-1-2.

3) The true quality of a team can often be guaged by their away form, which puts us 6th in the table, and the excellent home form WHL helps us achieve goes someway to bridging the gap between clubs like Arsenal who currently have more financial clout - and in my opinion we should be looking for a stadium that mimics WHL as closely as possible to maintain this home advantage.

4) The optimal size of an all seater stadium in terms of having a good atmosphere seems to be around 30-45k. Larger than this and atmosphere often starts to dissipate. The new WHL aims to design out some of the atmosphere problems with large all seater stadiums, how successful it will be remains to be seen. But in stadiums like the Emirates and Wembley, not only was no attempt made to design out these problems, decisions, in terms of distance from the pitch, roof design and tier angle, actually made these problems worse, and it can often feel like there's only 6 or 8k people there instead of 60 or 80k. This makes it an easier place for opposition teams to play.

5) If we went to MK, the most committed fans would go and those who worry more about their own needs above the club would stay at home.

6) If the season goes badly at Wembley, we'll start to see bright red empty seats at games, which is very bad for the club's image. There's a chance we could become the "big story" next season, and not in a positive way.

7) If we spent 40 million on a new player who helped us finish 3 places higher, this would be good business. Similarly, if we lose 40 million in revenue by not going to Wembley and we finish 3 places higher, this would also be beneficial to us.

For those that couldn't be bothered to read @Doctor Dinkey's post, he thinks we could get relegated next season and Poch will be sacked.
Thank you for the update(this is genuine as that post is too long)

However next season is going to be tough.

Pep regrets staying at Barca for the 4th season as he thinks it's not possible to play a pressing system for longer than 3 seasons as it takes a huge toll mentally and he felt the players stop responding

Poch's 4th season at espanyol didn't go down well

Next season away from home is going to be tough for fans and players, especially since we relied on it this season.

Wembley is going to make harder as some players, will be desperate to score at Wembley, it's a once in a lifetime chance for some people

I don't think we will get relegated assuming we qualify for CL this season but if qualify for cl 3 seasons in a row it will be one of the greatest achievements in spurs recent history(3 decades)

What about Klopp at Dortmund - they did the double in his 4th season and got the CL final in his 5th season.

There seems to be a consensus that all the other teams will up their game because it's Wembley. what if it works the other way and the opposition is more nervous and we become more comfortable there - it could actually be an advantage.

The lack of atmosphere there is however an issue, as is the time it takes me to get home because yes, this is all about me!

Ha ha, no I don't.
But I think that Wembley could be bad for us. I'd prefer to play elsewhere.
Dunno why paragraphs didn't work...

There's nowhere else. Pointless discussing it really. We're not going to Milton Keynes.

I am really worried about playing every home game at Wembley next season, massive handicap if you look at how we have performed there this season.

What's the alternative though?

What about Klopp at Dortmund - they did the double in his 4th season and got the CL final in his 5th season.
That is a fair point but its worth noting that:
The dortmund team had a lot more changes in their first 11 than we have had under Poch, which is largely the same since he took over with the exception of Alderwiereld and Wanyama really the only ones to change that

Also the Klopp is different to the Poch press and ours is a bit more demanding:
“It is a different style of pressing,” he said. “If you analyse Dortmund, it’s not similar to how we played at Southampton. Our pressing was to the opposing goalkeeper, whereas Dortmund played with a medium block. You can’t compare Klopp’s style with my style, we are different. I’m not saying one is better than the other, just that we are different.

“It depends on your ideas, your culture, how you see the philosophy, your football,” continued Pochettino. “I prefer to press high and we believe we can press the keeper. Another manager believes it is better to stay with a medium block or play deep and go on the counterattack. This is how you feel and believe, and how you develop your style.”

Depends on how you frame it:
You could easily read that as 1 win and 4 loses, though it is really 1 win 1 draw 3 losses after 120mins

Just so different watching us at WHL again today , totally controlling the match and denying any real space/opportunities to the away team who just played like an inferior away team tends to play against us. This season we have also seemed to found a way to overcome teams that try to frustrate us.
Home record now;
Won 11 drawn 2 lost 0 scored 30 conceded 5 points 35( nearly double our away points)
This is why next season at Wembley has become such a massive worry
Just watched the EFL Cup Final and, again, it brought home that this is just not a suitable ground for an entire leage season.

It's no WHL but on Thursday it was fine and on another day and with 12 men we'd have won that game 4/5-0.

We will get used to Wembley and do just fine but not as good as we will at WHL so I do fear that CL football won't be on the menu for our first season at the new ground.

Once we get used to playing there it will be an advantage. So many teams will come and think "fuck me we are playing at Wembley, let's attack and get a win."

How many teams come to WHL and play for a 0-0 and often get it. They will forget themselves and get taught a lesson in football by us.

We will be fine.

To be fair we've finally pretty much sorted that problem. Nobody has successfully held us to a 0-0 at the Lane all season.
