Perhaps. But are away form last year (Toon game excluded) was excellent. So not a massive worry.
We will have to adapt to playing on a bigger pitch on a more regular basis. At least we get a chance to practice before we move there next year.

Although necessary, am I the only one who thinks we have surrendered home advantage?
Not for me. Think we are actually poor on a small pitch and that's a whl. Yes atmosphere not the same, but a buzz to play and be at Wembley. And it's only 3 games we are talking about

Woah... Talk about being pessimistic!

We play on bigger pitches almost every away game, it's only stadia with space restrictions that are different since the size got standardized.

Edit: The bigger concern for me is the players getting used to the surface, could throw our passing right off.

Well half the team play there for England now so they should be used to it.

What are the reasons behind this? Money spinning?

Nope - Levy is on record as saying there is no financial benefit. WHL would have been very low capacity for the CL with the north-west corner missing and the front couple of rows closed due to UEFA's huge advertising boards - probably below the 30k mark - which would effectively means matches were season ticket holders only. Not only that but we're not going to meet various other ground requirements easily whilst the stadium is a construction site. Wembley lets us have 50k or 90k fans instead, has no issue with the requirements, and gets us used to playing there before the full league season away.

Hilarious watching the outcry on social media from rival fans. The best ones being brain dead Goons talking about how a "club side playing there devalues it." Proof positive that their fans are either moronic and under the age of 16 or just moronic.

Because Arse tarnished old Wembley in the late-90s... So much so that it had to be torn down and replaced.

Good point. As for pitch size, if we want, I'm sure we'll be able to mark the pitch out as we see fit provided it's within the correct limits.

Happy with wembley.
Im shure the club has its reasons for playing CL here coming season. Not going to speculate on anything.
If were going to play there for the whole 17/18 season we might aswell get use to it.

Anyone know if it will be a full capacity wembley for our CL games?

We are allowed full capacity (someone was kind enough to answer the same question for me earlier)

I'm one of the few that actually wanted to push for Stratford as a temporary home! I would have taken great joy in taking the piss out of their stadium for a year and then move into our shiny new top of the range football friendly Stadium lol logistically made more sense as well
But Wembley it is, just a couple of things I'm wondering about! How will they allocate seats for those on cup guarantee? Will we have the chance to sit with people we currently can't at the lane.
Also if we do drop out of the champions league and into the Europa would games revert back to White Hart Lane or will we continue to use Wembley?

Valid point about Europe league. Probably all sorted behind the scenes and the club want to be seen as looking positive so not released info on the possibility of us dropping into Europa from champions league

I know there have been numerous cases of clubs playing their champions league home fixtures at grounds other than their own for a variety of reasons (though usually related to capacity). it seems to me that whenever this happens, the 'home' teams have tended to underachieve; though I have no basis for saying so other than vague recollections. does anyone have an actual account of how such teams have performed under such conditions in the CL?

to be fair, I suspect that many such occasions have been down to smaller clubs having qualified, which would imply that they might have struggled in their own stadiums, as well - so it's hardly as though any hard conclusions could be reached. still, i'm curious ...
