I was of the naive opinion it should be far easier to get tickets at Wembley, however reading this it feels not. For example the Chelsea game does anyone know how many tickets are likely to be available to non season ticket holders or pass members- surely there should be approx 25 to 30 k?
Wembley should be fine, it's future seasons at the new stadium where it's doubtful.

You'll be able to buy as many as you want.

Is there a thread to discuss the ticket prices of the Juve friendly at wembley?

Couldnt find anything but it seems like an interesting discussion point, given that spurs have allowed Relevant Sports to promote it, and therefore ticket prices are set at the level they want. So far looks like spurs fans are boycotting and ticket sales are rumoured to be between 7-15k

It's £45 to sit behind the goal, £90 to sit near the dugouts for a friendly. These tickets should be £5

I imagine they offered Spurs a fixed fee for playing in the friendly, which meant the club had to put zero effort in and benefits from a guaranteed return. I can understand it, but it's a very 'business first fans second' mentality, which has done nothing to ensure that fans (especially young ones) will get a cheap day out, does nothing to ensure a full stadium in preparation for next season (for the team's benefit) and will ultimately cast the club in a bad light (empty seats and question marks over pricing).

The club will obviously deflect towards 'Relevant Sports' but ultimately if the club is receiving a nice lump of money to play in this game it will have been apparent the pricing would be high and Relevant will be seeking to turn a profit too. Hopefully this idea will fall flat on its face and these types of organisation will see that fans are not a bottomless pit of both loyalty and cash to be exploited. If this is a success we will see a lot more of it, further pricing out fans.

They make some fair points but plenty of stupid ones. They are very frustrating

I was 18,800 on the list and it's disappointing they would rather see me stay on a bronze membership. They can shove their membership subs now.
"The Club will argue that a take up rate of roughly 1 in 3 is in line with previous take-up rates, but previous seasons cannot be compared with the unique circumstances of this one."

"We also knew that, while Wembley was the preferred venue of those considered for our year away from Tottenham, some fans would not be as keen to take a season ticket there as at a ground in Tottenham."

Such a massive contradiction in such a short space.

I think they struggle with the fact that they are representing a set of fans which have two quite different positions. The Trust claims to represent the fans' view, but I think they spend more time dictating it rather than understanding it and sometimes I think they struggle to prioritise. I have completed the survey, but I am not convinced they get the full spectrum of opinion via an online survey (i.e. older fans or those less inclined to complete a survey will be ignored). Not meaning to slag them off, but the Trust is now so entrenched in its own little world (and it's so difficult to get involved with them - all they want are your subs) that I don't see them as representing me or many Spurs fans.

They do some good though, it is clear they raise issues the club has either ignored or not considered and I am certain they make a difference, but statements like the one they released on tickets, with no balance or reasoned/structured/coherent argument doesn't really do them any favours.

im not sure thats fair
the trust try to find the opinion of their members using a survey - what more can they do?
they have bent over backwards trying to help people and answer questions when people havent got answers from the club or been able or bothered to contact the club direct, while trying to hold down jobs themselves.
they didnt get much info from the club so couldnt answer questions they didnt have answers to in a structured way.
For sure they have argued with the club and have definitly made the club listen and possibly change things for the better for us - remember last years european campaigns?

im not a trust happy clapper or know them personally but give them a break. maybe if you think they could do better offer to help ocommunicate your opinions to them over and above filling out the survey - no trying to preach, just an observation/opinion

I agree, the guys in the trust who assisted people during the season ticket sales process did a stellar job and it's something the club should have provisioned, no doubt about that at all, they were excellent.

That's not where my criticism of the trust lies. I have tried to communicate with them before and there's something of a Chinese wall that they erect when it comes to direct contact and an assumption that no one has any better ideas than they are already having. It's frustrating trying to talk with them. I've known people involved with the trust personally, not least as a result of the substantial involvement I had with the 'We Are N17' campaign, but I've not been involved with anything of that nature since, not least because of the trust's approach.

I appreciate your point of view though and I'm not saying they are doing a bad job per-se, they do some stuff very well and it's better that they exist than to have a void/no fan voice; I just feel that the communication referenced in the earlier post highlights some of their flaws.

Looked to me as though the trust just wanted to protect existing season ticket holders and people at the top of the waiting list.
I snapped their hands off when I got offered one from no. 58k on the list. From my POV I'm glad the trust's proposals fell on deaf ears.

Anyway, as a new season ticket holder I have a question - where are my loyalty points?

You start with 0 then you get like 25 or so to start the season and then accumulate points based on each home game I think

A STH with 0 is worth more than a member with 1k though

I have a feeling they might change how loyalty points work because we now have 40k season tickets. How would it work for cup finals etc?

I had 150 nearly as a lilly/bronze member. So I've lost those and start again?
That hurts.

I guess with semi/finals where there are 33k tickets for 40k season ticket holders it'll have to be 1st come 1st serve?

At the expense of local fans is the key. Their business is US based, which is fine obviously nobody really minds the principle of foreign approaches and if they do manage to sell 30k tickets to US sports fans in London then great! It just has the feel of experimentation. At the end of the day it's just a friendly game and perhaps spurs couldn't arrange the friendly for whatever reason - it may be a condition that we outsource friendly ticketing, or something related to ticket master. But It just feels like they have totally got the pricing wrong, and so failed to understand.

I want to be proved wrong of course! If they succeed and we get another 50k on the waiting list and these people don't mind waiting a few years then job done. But playing a long strategy, building a global fan base whatever, there's still only 61k seats, so why not set a price? £90 is the money an arsenal fan would charge a spurs fan to watch spurs in a friendly
