Wow what an excellent use of Spam, thanks for that fellow human being and Spurs fan. Very friendly.

Ok if you’re so desperate for it to be written down for you:

West Brom’s tactics all season and particularly the last few games under Moore have been to sit back and try and score from set pieces or counters. Hardly “no-one would have predicted it”.

You’re not getting tactically “outwitted” when the oppositions only plan is “sit back and hope”.

You’re not getting tactically outwitted when you lose the game from the ultimate scrappy chaos goal.

Parking the bus is not a clever or sophisticated tactic.

We weren’t very good but that’s because the players are too busy booking their flights for their summer holidays, not because they were cleverly out-thought by wiley opponents and a talented manager.

You are correct. The problem is, is that it is a 'tactic' that Poch still doesn't have an answer to!!!

Why is our build-up play against bus-parkers so ponderous? We just tap it sideways until they get their players back into two neat lines of five and then try to dribble through them. The one attack that we zipped it about should have been a goal, except Lame-ela took a stupid touch instead of burying it first time. It has been the same all season vertonghen to sanchez to ericksen back to vertonghen then sanchez round and round and round.....

This. Its like to actively wait for them to get set before we play the ball forward

Poch- ‘If we are not able to win the next two games we do not deserve to qualify for the Champions League’.

Well he’s right there...
If we don't qualify for the Champions League there are no excuses and that's on Poch as much as I love him. He fucked this match up more than any player with his tactics today.

Kane is world class but he was rushed back. Still reckon he scores another 3 - 4 goals before the season finishes.

No one is bigger than team personally I don`t think he should have take a goal off a team mate or taken a place of a teamate when the team have just beaten Chelsea away for the first time in 25 years..

It sends totally the wrong message... Kane should earn his place like everyone else and I thought Tottenham under Poch was not about favourites. If we don`t make the champions league there will be a riot especially after the FA CUP Semi

Because we play to a set organised rigid pattern of play every time we do not have the freedom of expression like city and Liverpool have who play off the cuff football, we are at times quite boring to watch passing it sideways and backwards with little or no end product or no clinical enough.

Monday night was a bad performance and a good result. This wasn't a good performance and a bad result. It was a not-good-enough performance and bad result.

West Brom are a poor side, and a good performance, in context, is not having a lot of possession and creating one or two half chances.

A good performance would result in, in all but the most freakish of circumstances, scoring at least one goal. We did not create so much in this game that you can say 'well, it's a freak result that we didn't score'.

We had more possession and chances than a poor side. That does not, in and of itself, render this a good performance.

Football is rarely about one team. West Brom are probably the form team to n this league (bar City) right now, have just won at Utd and spent the whole game sat deep. And we spent the whole game doing exactly what a team should do in those circumstances, pushed the ball about, tried to pull them out, and we did get Kane clean through and Lamela. And bar a couple of set pieces, we didn’t allow them a single sniff.

If a team sits in a deep block and does it well it’s incredibly difficult to creat chances, you can’t get behind them, you cant hit them on the counter and overload.

I think players like Kane, Lamela and Alli were a bit individually below par, but I don’t think we lacked effort, desire and by and large tried to do the right things and were tactically applied well enough in the circumstances.

Sometimes football just fucks you, and today, it did.

He's world class but out of form. The only other players who can match his numbers are world class. He is in that bracket without a doubt.

He's close, but not quite there. He misses too many chances that a world class striker would gobble up. I seriously believe we saw the best of Kane last season, defenders are figuring him out and he's not been as instinctive as previous seasons.

Why do people want a draw tomorrow? Liverpool win please, we need all the advantage we can get over Chelsea now.

Because some people seem so obsessed with Liverpool they can’t see how shite we’ve been playing.

Forget 3rd. CL football next year is all that matters and if Liverpool have to do us a favour then so be it.

If you factor in everything ie; kane's form and the way we are playing, our inability to break teams down, our current loss of tempo and our pressing game up in smoke, then we are not going to beat either of these teams. Our heads go down at the slightest setback, and Pochettino and co do not seem to have the wherewithal to put a backbone and motivation back into the team. Fifth place is looming large.
There is look of impending doom about the situation but Kane is world class even not at his best he can score. And if you're factoring in everything then you have to factor in that we have beaten RM and Chelsea away without Kane.

I'm not saying we will qualify for the CL but I certainly haven't given up hope yet.

Agree that this can happen - it does at the same time however emphasize our need for more guile, pace and variety in our attacking play. Something we have to try and address this upcoming transferwindow.

I think you're not giving him enough credit for the first half of this season, he was superb. He may have hit his level, pretty much. But that level is world class. If he continues to whack in 35 goals a season for the next few years then I think you'd find it hard to argue.

Certainly not Lucas.
Most of the time we were in it there wasn't the chance of a CL spot. Was it 2015 when it came in I think ?

Man Utd definitely targeted it last year and I reckon Arse went for the back door option as well, to double their chances.
I suspect Poch played the odds, the odds are that our chances of winning our two home games are higher than winning the away game and so he saved the best eleven for those two games.
I hope people will stop giving me shit now about us blowing our chances of top four and terrible, weak performances by this team. I said it 3 games ago and got so much shit about how I was panicking and this stat and that stat.
As I said, the bottom line is our form is bad and Chelski have been better.
West Bromwich showed again that heart and determination still make a difference in this league. Just can’t believe we have blown a 10 point lead, again! We just never seem to learn.
If Chelski win tomorrow and I think they will, we are in real trouble.
But I’m sure people will come back yet again and tell me I am panicking and we have two home games, blah blah.
But the reality is this team are not playing well, not playing with heart or passion and could well lose both. But we may well need at least one win and one draw! Not good!

Yep, they went on holiday after chelsea match. So unprofessional. If they mess up top 4, i want wholesale changes just for the sake of it.

He is not as instinctive because he is not fit enough came back from injury hoping for semi-final glory only to be off the pace, but he will be back amongst it again only not this season.

We had huge swathes of possession & dominated the game, tactics were not the reason for our loss. Point the finger at our clumsy attacking players, Alli, Kane and the naive Lamela.

This was a huge missed chance for the manager to make a statement.

Win the game, tell United we are chasing them down for second, tell Chelsea and Liverpool we are locking up third and that they can fight it out for fourth.

Finish second and he could ask questions of Liverpool and United’s so called great seasons if both were to fail to win a trophy. Finish second and be able to point at theteams below us and Chelsea and Arsenal outside the top four.

Instead we are sweating on tomorrow’s game and have put undue pressure on ourselves.

A win today and Poch could have strutted into post match press conference and taken a leaf out of Mourinho’s book.

I still think we will finish top four, but third and second should have been the target today.

We've ended up under this pressure because too many games, again, this season where we haven't been clinical or ruthless enough, just like today. It's why we never win anything and why no one takes us seriously.
