I agree, how many will take up the offer, or even stick around after the first season remains to be seen.

I had a few from from south of the river who used to pick up cheap Crystal Palace season tickets for the same reason. When they eventually got promoted it was a great way to watch premier league games. They didn't stick around for very long.

But as you say, it's a great way of bringing more fans into the game. And I'd like us to do the same. Heck if there was even a £700 - £800 season ticket in our new south stand I'd snap it up.

Was thinking more the £200 season tickets for u16's. But general pricing also helps massively.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the £289 season tickets. I'd never thought about the price of u16s. At £200 I'd pick one up so I could take my little brother along. Here's hoping we do similar.

Think most dads would think the same about their kids. 20 odd saturdays sorted for £200, what else in london can a parent do for so cheap that they'd actually enjoy doing?

A lot of the season tickets have been "sold" due to the +2 rule. If you are a current season ticket holder you can pay a deposit of i believe £10 for 2 more season tickets. This has led to a lot of complaints as they are sold by the bands. Band 1 almost trippled in size leading to band 2 ticket holders being pushed back and getting much worse views than they did at the boelyn. The same then happened with band 2 and pushed band 3 back etc...

How many of these new season ticket holders last more than the first season or even take up the season ticket remains to be seen.

They have done really well with the pricing though attracting a new generation of fans. Levy should take note.

Touts by the bucket load then if they start selling out?

Wasnt there supposed to be an investigation into this? I'm sure I read there was opposition from so many people and unanswered questions that it had to be investigated

All this talk of them increasing to 60k then up to 66k, these extra seats were deemed nowhere near good enough for a decent view of the pitch. They were originally closed off because they were too far back ( which is saying something for that ground! )

BREAKING: Plans for a stunning wrap at the Hammers’ new home have been submitted ⚒ ➡️wes.hm/NewStadium2303 #WHUFC

No doubt they'll expect us all to pay for that as well...

Having read it, I reckon they will. It mentions the huge benefit to all the stadium partners that having HD screens cladding the exterior of the stadium will provide...

...I read that as "we're not paying for it all as others will also benefit"...

...fucking pikeys.

Oh, and stunning it is not!

Dunno, there's a few parks or museums or that cost sod all. Even the Tait Modern gallery is better than the olympic bowl for football.

As for the screens, hmmm... well the environmentalist in me says WTF?! But then Stadiums are hardly the beacon of light when it comes to energy conversation full stop, so whats another load of HD screens.

It's an interesting concept, but one that is perhaps a little overboard and reeks if I am honest of a way to be a massive billboard for adverts. Wonder if the owners will use that for their merchandise?

It will mean that whoever is playing that day - them, football, cricket or athletics all can have their own branding at a swipe of a ipad - like Wembley for Cup Finals. May be there's no actual branding as such on the exterior and it's all electronic? They'll really feel like pikeys. I guess all the non specific railings, supports and such though will be claret and blue.

Annoys me greatly how much we've had to work and graft for our stadium yet 2 of our rivals city and spam virtually had stadiums handed to them on a plate. At least arsenal had to work for the Emirates.
