I think the penalty on half time was a massive decision..it would have been 1-1 and there down to 10 men and in need of a total reshuffle..you should get what u deserve in football! I like the tempo of our passing under Ramos...its quick neat little triangles which means if and when it breaks down we are still solid.

Berba is too wishy washy at the moment..when he find space he needs to use it

Hats off to Lennon today for doing a very good job at RB.

Bent worries me...didnt win a header the whole time he was on...he looks very limited for all that money..especially when you compare him to Kanoute at Sevilla.

Kaboul needs to learn from his mistakes...i think he is on his last warning with Ramos...3 strikes and ur out and all that!!

Just knew Defoe would miss....had a horrible feeling when i thot Robbie was off the field...Showed alot of guts but credit to the keeper it was a top save.

Like Ramos on the touchline instructing all game..he has shown some nice tactically changes...i thot the Zokora in the middle of the back 3 decision was brave and showed he is not frightened to change things.

All in all i see a big change and he is the right man for the job.

Not sure how much more i can take from malbs, what does he do again??

:eek:mg:

Steed was my MOTM today.

Why compare him to Kanouté? Berbatov is the player being used in a similar role to the one Kanouté played for Sevilla. Darren Bent, as I'm sure you'll see with time, is playing the Luis Fabiano role.

:-|......are you pulling my monkey leg

Steed was quality today. Again. I think he's only had one bad performance all season and that was against United.

Starting to become one of my favourites.

We need to see Steed in the middle for a while to see how good he could be, I'd like him to be given a go in his best position. He's been one of our best two performers this season so far and deserves a bit of credit.

I thought over the 90 minutes we did just enough to nick it, but Ramos is still unbeaten and defensively although still shaky, we're improving.

got to agree, wasn't his biggest fan last season but he has performed so much better this season.

Decent enough performance from the lads. Few dodgy shouts here and there plus a defensive lapse cost us. Pleased for Robbo to make a few saves, kept their fans quiet.

As for outfield, don't want to see Dawson and Kaboul ever again. Accident waiting to happen, really need a wise head in there, Rocha preferably seeing as King isn't really an option is he? Malbranque, Bale, JJ, Keano, Zokora even Lennon put in good shifts with their running when we didn't have possesion. Thought we harried and closed down a lot more than recently. Can't fault the effort. Also some glimpses of passing and actually bloody moving afterwards to make yourself available.

Berba, Bent, Defoe, Meh.

Brings me nicely to Pascal bleeding Chimbonda. Get's caught the wrong side far too much, very lucky not to be sent off with the handball and some really clumsy man marking. Also didn't bust a gut to get back after Kabouls error, just jogging back to his station. If this bloke was any more laid back he'd fall over.

Still, we're unbeaten under Senor Ramos. Long may it continue. Something to build on.

Steed missed a sitter, Defoe should never take penalties and Kaboul let them into the match when we were in control.

2 points lost, but better performance than previous headless chicken numbers under Jol.

1 point gained  Some won't agree, but pretty much any point gained in an away Premier League match is exactly that. The only exception really is those in the bottom 3-5.

I hope that we will shortly have at least one and I do mean any one of our centre backs fit again.
Apart from 2 players I thought the rest did very well especially Jenas and Steed,I never want to see Chimbonda in our back 4, never mind as a centre half, the man is useless and Kaboul really needs to sharpen up or he will never make it in the Premiership.
I can see us being more organised, more professional and certainly playing with a lot more conviction under Ramos and I think he needs to bring in at least 3 players in January.A central midfielder with composure who can pick out a pass and retain possession,a physical right back and left back who can both defend.
Onwards and upwards,COYS!

I'm still undecided whether I am happy with a point. Before the game i would have settled for a point but getting a penalty in the 92nd minute and not scoring is really hard to take. I have to keep reminding myself JJ's clearance off the line in the 89th minute which tries to put my disapointment into perspective but then i think about keano's appeal, bent wrongly given offside when put through, cole handball in the box, lennons goal marginally offside but then again i can't recall (penalty aside) Green making a save. I dont even think our strikers hit the target

Impressed.
Bit of a poor result but im very upbeat, bar Kaboul it was an excellent performance from the lads.
Jenas in particular was absolutly incredible today!
Zokora wasn't too bad either.
Robbo seems to be back to his normal self, made a few decent saves.

Anyway, the game, should have had a penalty in the first half, we deserved to win but I guess its just our typical luck.

Great performance though and looking forward to pushing on next week!

Couldn't agree more.

Kaboul was also dire midweek against Wales U-21 who were actually 18 year olds as the U-21's were in the full squad.

Just got back from Upton Park, points I wish to make.

JD earned the pen, thought Robbie's in the 1st half was more nailed on. Fair enough that he took it, credit where credit is due it was a good save by Green.

Nice to see some proactive subs by Ramos. No disrespect meant to our old mentor.

Robbo, welcome back, couple of decent saves, kicking was poor in the first half.

Wet Spams support is fcuking shit, the most active they were was when JD missed the pen, then celebrated the draw like they won the league. Proviso that we did against Villa, but different circumstances altogether.

We bossed possesion, they maybe had the better chances, a draw just about the right result, though obviously having a penalty saved in injury time feels like two points lost.

Riley was awful. Bad decisions, too many yellows, didn't let the game flow.

But more positives than negatives.
