I'm expecting

Hugo

Naughton kaboom verts Davies
Capoue Holtby
Lennon eriksen Lamela
Bobby

Think Davies will get the nod over rose purely because he's better in the air, rose has looked very decent pre season.

I've gone for bobby due to fitness (plus I think he'll produce this year) Holtby deeper becuase I honestly think it's his best position and Lennon again due to pre season

Have to say I was one of those ragging on Lennon last year but he's really impressed me pre season. Seems mopo has taken the shackles off and allowing him to concentrate on the attaching 3rd rather than always focusing on picking up a full backs run. He's seems sharp, I say give him a run and see if we can get the old Lennon back, what a result that would be

Think you are spot on with this. Though is Capoue fully injury free?

True, in which case I'd opt for Bentelab. Seems to me in the modern game both midfielders a ball lenders rather than having one focusing on breaking up the play

If Vert's not fit enough, Dier in his place. If Verts starts, Dier at RB.

Only prob i have with that is Bentelab and Holtby as a pair. Is hardly Toure and Fernandinho! May get away with it at west ham, but could really do with someone who puts there foot in. Sandro or Capoue

See your point but watching Kroos and modric rotate the ball so well and effectively the other night (obviously understanding that real are way beyond us but the style is right) Even looking at the goons, man utd, Liverpool, it's does seem to be the next step

After three straight defeats vs the Pikeys this is a game we must not lose. I dont care if we park the bus. If I have to listen to one more mug , or see another stupid t-shirt I'll explode!

however, i think we will win 3-1 and Poch will be off to a winning start :ROFLMAO:

Two seasons ago, Lennon and Bale often swapped wings, to 'mix it up' a bit. Wouldn't a 'Lamela - Erikson - Lennon' work?

Lennon? Shouldn't continue to get in the team for long unless he dramatically improves on previous seasons

Sorry to be a pedant but can we please get our own players' names right? We don't want people thinking Spurs fans are a bunch of David Pleats (though I have nothing against Pleat).

Sandro Eriksen Capoue
Lamela Soldado Townsend
Subs: Vorm, Rose, Dawson, Bentaleb, Adebayor, Holtby, Lennon
COYS! Ready for the Pochetino era or La Epoca de Pochetino.
Fingers crossed we do not lose this one- hoping for a cheeky 3-1 win to get the season off to a flying start but would settle for a point!

If all our 1st choice defenders are fit for the game, Wetspam will not score. I'm looking forward to a 2-0 or 3-0 win.
