I get all that you are saying. But this is clearly a reaction to both Alli and Eriksen being injured. We don’t have that midfielder who can play the type of balls they play. So without them. The person who can do that. Is Kane. Which is evident by the balls that he regularly plays when he drops deep. Once Dele and Eriksen are back he will go back to the forward role.
I hope so. I am hoping thats why. I talked this up about a year ago when Kane did another of his sublime passes and I said he could be the best midfielder we have lol. Goes in goal as well lol.

Oh come on England were lucky as fook against Spain.
The priority is to win the game? Really? Thanks for that insight lol.
Imo you'll have a far better chance of winning any game with one of Europes top top goal scorers in the oppositions box than with him on the halfway line threading balls through to those who aren't as prolific in front of goal. Only England and Spurs would take a £170m elite striker and start asking him to play deeper to set others up.
Did you see how many shots England had and how many we had today?
Its not being clever. Its bloody stupidimo but whatever.
When Kane does eventually leave, which will be for a lot less than at present as the goals will dry up in this role, lets see if whoever buys him plays him deep role or gets him banging in 30 plus goals every season. I think I know which it'll be.

So what does your insight say when you come up against a technically superior side like Spain for example. Would you try to beat them at their own game? Would you be contented to pack your half to contain them? Or do you look at where they could be weak and come up with a 'lucky' plan where pace is their undoing? Give me lucky Southgate and Poch over someone that's still whinging when we have won/are winning. Its how we won 0-3 at ManU using Moura.

Just seen the Snodgrass tackle on MOTD. ****!
I keep saying this: English refs are below par. Look at the tackle by Kompany on Lennon, too, as well as what went on for the City second goal. I don't think Oliver is as good as he had been.

We aren't as good now because, as said many times in so many ways, our players hardly had any breaks between seasons. It's no coincidence that our best players are Moura and Lamela, who had not been involved in the World Cup. And even Sissoko, who has never been a technically sound player, is performing better than his previous two seasons with us. Need to refresh with at least of couple of fresh incoming players in January. Poch was right when he said you couldn't depend on destiny.

Perhaps it was due to my expectations. But we could and should have lost. Arnautovic had 3 dead certs and had it not been for Hugo, we would have been embarrassed. Apart from the goal, we only really had a Kane half chance to speak of.
We could and should have scored a few ourselves. They should have been down to ten men. Hugo did his job, so they didn't score.

We're not talking about that so what are you on about?
I'm talking about getting the best out of Kane. Goals win games.
That luck you're refering to will not last. You cant keep being lucky.
As mentioned earlier I hope once Eriksen and Dele return it'll be service as normal.
And I'm not whinging about winning games either. I'm questioning why one of the best strikers in the world is being used to set up others who are nowhere near as prolific in front of goal as he is.
Another problem with England is that greedy fk Sterling isnt ever going to pass to Kane as long as he has an arsehole.

How shit must wesh ham fans feel today, if losing their cup final to us wasn't bad enough, we rubbed salt into the wound by Sissoko having probably his best game for us and making them look even worse!:sneaky:

Spot on, it amazes me why more people can’t see that. For me his performance against Barca was outstanding where he
went from playing deeper at times but also being the centre forward. There’s no doubt as the season goes on and injuries hopefully ease he will play more up top and score goals.

Best ever start after nine games without even playing well and having playing two of the other three champions league sides, level with Chelsea who have been amazing apparently and only two points off the top.
Might’ve beaten Watford too if Hugo wasn’t injured for that game...

I think that period with vorm in goal really cost us .

The league is pretty awful outside of the top 6-8 teams this season there’s no excuses to not make the top four for us .

West ham fans are very sour calling us physical and dreadful to watch , yet they have been physical and dreadful to watch for years

Amazingly I had a quick look on line and one of their lot suggested that the gap between the club's is not as big as some think, really there is a reason why we play CL football and a reason why they are lower to mid table just because they get up for their cup final does not make us equals.

Could it be that Kane's change of role for both club and country is, at least in part, at his behest? He certainly tended to play deeper in some of his loans near the start of his career (CM I think for the O's, wing or no.10 for Millwall etc.). Maybe he sees himself as more of a Teddy than a Jürgen.

Agreed. I wasn't getting too flustered and frustrated with how we were playing. I think there was an element of control there and I think we managed the final stages well. The bombardment was always going to come, we were playing a team who hate us with a narrow lead, what do people expect? We dealt with their crosses superbly and our defensive positioning was so much better today. I think Sissoko offers us much better defensive cover too as he is very disciplined and able to get back into position quickly. I don't think people consider that when they start complaining about his inclusion.

The difference I feel between this performance and the other grinded wins is the professionalism and the lack of sloppyness, they was always going to be going at us but we handled it, we were not the creators of our own downfall, our passing was solid, we didn't give up possession needlessly and that for me is a good sign going forward as we begin to ramp up as we usually do by Christmas.

I dont think theres anything in it, however, it's almost identical to the one dele was given a 3 match ban for so for consistency sake...
Arnautovic knew what he was doing, definitely pushed his head into Sanchez' midriff to provoke a reaction. Fair play to Sanchez for only pushing him, some would have got more aggressive after that.
