Payet is class. They treated it like a CL final. And we lost to the better team in chippy and crap conditions. Guess what? On to the next one.

The one thing I will say, Dembele is a player that was desperately missed in that match. Typically plays in the spots that covers Payet, and could've been the bit of steel we needed to get the ball forward. Not complaining but just stating something I noticed. Probably for another thread, but Dembele has been crucial for us this season. It could be a combo of his skill set and leadership, it could be that he's finally in a role to succeed, but the dude has been HUGE for us. Moving forward.

This weekend we steamroll that French c*** and his soft spineless panzies. Audere est facere. I smell a well worth it Dier yellow card.

Here's a comment of breathtaking stupidity that I read this morning about Pochettino.

"Maybe this is as far as he can take them?"

You'd be forgiven for thinking it was made in this thread, if I didn't know better i'd think it myself, but no, this gem appeared in todays 'Sun". The print edition had the authors name attached but I can't remember it and couldn't see it online. If this is what passes for journalistic opinion then all I can say is the next time they have a vacancy they should pop down to the zoo and see if they have a baboon or something that fancies the gig. You know, one of them fuckers with the great big red arseholes. My money is on him being better at it than the drooling idiot whose name is stuck to this.

It's Andy Dillon...as West Ham as they come.
He points out that Lamela 'had' to be taken off before he was sent off.....he wasn't even booked.
He also points out what a fantastic season West Ham are having and how shit Spurs are, forgetting to mention even after that match we are still 4 places above them...what a fucking clown.

I think we found that out over the last 28 games unless your time has been spent watching a side pay that no one knows on SC. If prior to WH we have taken 17 points from losing positions (a PL high) how is that choking?

Get over yourself.

Calm down honey, no need to be so dramatic.

I'm simply saying the last ten games of the season are the business end, the pressures on this squad for the first time, and so we'll learn a lot about them over this period, and whether they really have overcome the choking tag.

Put your tampon back in.

Things we definitivley learnt against the Spammers. Dembele is the one piece of the jigsaw we cannot do without. He brings so much to the table that without him we find it difficult to assert ourselves against physical teams like West Ham. Chadders is an excellent supersub and should be used as such. Rose and Walker are our best full back options for all sorts of reasons. Lamela. Everyone likes a trier but the better position and the more time to play an obvious pass the more likely he is to make a hash of it

This is gonna sound bizarre but I think Poch got the rotation wrong with the full backs, Trippier and Davies should have played against Swansea as they were more likely to park the bus, even though we won as a result of Walker and Rose I thought that it may have been a tad easier however last night I am certain that Rose and Walker should have been in, I think with those 2 you get a bit more commitment and defensive nous particularly from Walker who may have kept Payet a little more quiet but hey ho swings and roundabouts and all that because Rose and Walker will be back for the Arsenal game where they are perfectly suited so...

Andy Dillon, that's it. Plankton have more journalistic integrity. And probably bigger knobs.

First half they really pressed our defense & if we did get up the pitch they'd launch high looping balls at our centre halves, closing them down at the same time so they had to rush their passes/clearances & we could never get the ball on the floor and start building from the back.

We're all geared up to play in the opponents half, then we're a unit. We missed Mousa, he's the one player who could've got us up the pitch in that first half.

1: Why haven't you posted this over the last 28 PL games?
2: Why haven't you posted this over the last 28 PL games?
3: Why haven't you posted this over the last 28 PL games?
4: Agree

What we have learned today is that fans know no bounds when looking for scapegoats, when we get beaten by the better team on the night.

What are you talking about I looked for no scapegoats and did not have a go at the team it's just my assessment.

So all I said was

Rose and Walker would have been better suited to a game like this.
Chadli is better off the bench.
Lamela is not great when he is agressively denied time and space
Kane needs Njie back to do his running late in games and err we miss Dembele big time hardly controversial stuff..

You didn't say anything about the 'last ten games' anywhere in your original post, you just whined like a little child looking for any excuse for a loss. Perhaps your the one needing a tampon.

Playing Rose and Walker was never going to happen and is a stupid suggestion that they would have played any better. In fact they would have possibly been less effective after they played a very tough game on Sunday. Jeeezzz everyone see's how Poch is usung squad rotation aside from you.

It's easy to say this or that player would have improved or changed last nights outcome. We could have fielded our strongest lineup and could have still lost.

You have to look at West Hams home form (no loss since August i think) and say they deserved to win, and stop looking for excuses for a team that are playing as good as any Spurs side in thirty odd years.

It's the game they really do live for and they got a 1-0 result.

They still don't register as any sort of rival; just an idiot club.

Next.
So true.
So, after their euphoria of last night, they wake up this morning and see... what?
Spurs still in 2nd place, still 3 points ahead of the 3rd-placed team and still 7 points ahead of the 4th-placed team.
And as for their own team?
Still in 6th place, still a point behind Man Utd and still unlikely to match (let alone surpass) their best ever (in their entire history) highest top division finishing place of 3rd.
But at least they "beat the Spuds 1-0 at home." Highlight of their season.

And the DVD will be on sale at the Olympic Stadium on the first day of the new season.

Or you can buy a pirated copy tonight in the Boleyn Pub. Small club, small fans.

I don't know why people are pinning this loss down on attitude and desire. It's not like this team was ever going to lose that arbitrarily after 6-odd consecutive wins.

The reason we lost were the conditions and the style of football we played in them. I like the brand of football Pochettino's got the team playing, but it's not tailored to wet weather football on a poorly conditioned pitch, and he didn't have the sense to change things up. If you play technical, possession based football in pouring rain, you end up with a lot of overplayed passes, poor touches and worst of all, 0 attempts on goal in the first half. The difficulty is further compounded against a West Ham team with a lot of big black guys with strong lower body strength that stands up great in the wet, while we're full of light frames like Eriksen, Lamela and Mason, who were largely ineffectual.

Kane is also in abysmal form right now, and thinking logically, you can only pin that down to fatigue. This again raises the question over whether to field strong teams in the Europa League, and I strongly believe this is another area where Pochettino is getting it wrong. It's a trash competition with very little prestige, but he continues to field strong team after strong team, which I'd imagine is wearing down some of our key players. Taking into account that we don't respond well to 3 day breaks, and the great position we're in in the competition that matters, I think it makes very little sense to take that stupid cup seriously.

1. We never do well against Mariner.
2. Bad team choice, too many changes from the usual bunch.
3. Chadlie starting, shouldnt ever start.
4. It was WHam at WHam, we were due a loss, 2 + 2 = ?
