The whole bottling it is just lame one upsmanship...
it's just to get under our skin and belittle us. Mostly done out of jealousy.

It's pathetic.
Precisely.

These same cretins spouting that nonsense follow teams that are all below us, a number of which have larger budgets, more established players and a greater history of winning.
Arsenal look likely to finish outside the top 4, have they been labelled as legends?
Utd have a team worth nearly half a billion but have spent most of their home games snatching draws from winning positions. Labelled as legends?
City have won more away than at home and caved in to a weak willed goon team in the semi final. Labelled as legends?
Liverpool, no European Football but cave in against bottom feeders on a regular basis.
Labelled as legends?
Has anyone given Leicester this label at any point this season? Did anyone give Chelsea this label last season?

Complete tripe from clowns glorying in our late demise because their season's have been such abject failures.

Last night went as I feared to be honest. Pochettino can change the culture of the club, but part of that is the age old attitude of complacency whenever we go somewhere we expect to win. It was practically written... 9 wins, culminating with a comfortable sweeping aside of the auld enemy... Surely a Friday evening swanning over to the noisy neighbours would be a fun jolly, with a 4-0 thrashing, followed by some jellied eels and the weekend ahead to put your feet up, for fans and players alike.

It didn't seem to enter anyone's heads that west ham were looking to secure survival, had a point to prove, and just generally fucking hate us.

Another rude awakening for some of our boys. Like last season, if you want to be the best, you have to put all your effort in all of the time. One let up and that's it.

Yeah if you look at those forms tables and go to the away form then you will see what we already know to be confirmed.....the only thing that needs to be improved on is our away form. Whether we are being out fought, or out thought away, or we need those few players, or changes in our game plans and adaptability, we can be surer than most that we are heading the right way.
I mean, are people saying that we don't need the new stadium? Are people saying we've got the wrong players? The wrong manager?
We finished 3rd last season. It is all but certain we'll finish 2nd this season. We went out of the FA cup in the semis to the only team who finished above us in the league. Cheer the feck up!

Interestingly our away record was better than our home record last season. Let's just hope we get it right next season!

When the season ends I am going too walk around with my spurs shirt on with pride like I always do. How many arsenal fans will do that, Liverpool,Man city, man u.The simple think is Chelsea have been top for a longtime this season it was always going too hard too move them cos we never started well and still got too a semi final and unbeaten at home, scoring the most a goals and the best defence in the league the list goes on and on amd injuries too key players at the start and played in Europe oh and we did beat Arsenal at home and Chelsea .If someone told me we will me above both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Arsenal come end of the season i will probably call him a crackhead. But we are and no matter what we have played some amazing football this season especially at the lane and can't wait for the big send off next week too the greatest football ground call the Lane.So cheer up spurs fans and we're your spurs shirt with pride.COYS

Watching the players looking miserable coming off the pitch at the end made me feel quite sad to be honest. Whether they were shit today or not they don't deserve this feeling of failure. They've won 9 games in a row and been the only team willing to even challenge a team who were only playing once a week with no injuries.

I hope they feel proud of themselves come the end of the season. They've been phenomenal in the league this year and not only made me believe we can win the league but actually think we will win the league in the next few years. To actually think we will and can win the league is something I could only dream of as recently as 2 years ago and not really at all in the 25 years previously.

I hope they end the season on a positive note and go away excited at what as a group they could achieve here in the coming years.

We lost the title in Sept/October with too many draws

We have been good enough to with something since 2005. Wigan and Portsmouth have won FA Cups in that time, Swansea, Birmingham have won league cups, Sevilla has won 5 Europa leagues. No one is demanding league titles but the continued excuses with the cups simply do not wash. If we continue to do what we are doing we will continue to win nothing, that is the very issue here.
Well that is obvious but I don't think you quite understood what I said.

Let me put this another way. Do you not think with our team and manager over the past say couple of years that we'd be more likely to win trophies on a consistent basis than previously? For instance look at the league, you can't win it unless you at least contend for it which we have done. Previously we would have been delighted to sneak 4th never mind a title shot.

With the current manager and talented set of players we are more likely to get ourselves in these positions to win trophies, and the more we do that, eventually we will win. So when I refer to doing what we are doing i'm referring to keeping this manager and talented group together because we haven't seen this kind of consistency in results for years and if that were to change then it's likely we'd go even further away from trophies. If we maintain the setup we have now then it will give us more opportunities to win.

People said we'd never finish above Arsenal and that we'd never get CL football consistenly, but look at us now. We will get there with a bit of patience.

Don't forget there's nothing Poch can do about the drought before his tenure either.

Classic Spurs complacency would be going to Swansea, Palace or Burnley and losing. Sorry just not buying the same old same old rhetoric, we lost to a team who played as if it's their cup final and they were better than us over 90 mins, that's all.

People don't get it, how many had we won in a row? 9? That is still title form right there even with one loss.

We'd simply just left ourselves with too much to do and no margin for error. The injuries in the Autumn right in the midst of our CL campaign is what has fucked us.

Well we had a rude awakening last year at their place and clearly just haven't learned from it a typical spurs disease.
Poch has done so much good and praise is justified but some problems still exist and that is spurs will let you down, yes we have improved but still not able yet to deliver.

Yup and European football, or actually Chelsea having no Euro footy proved to be the difference as well.

I've been looking into this. It seems teams lose the league when they drop points. Think that next seaon if we don't drop any points we should have a good chance of winning the league.

Why this match couldn't be played today... Friday night football is thrash..

Nothing personal against you but I think we shouldn't use this excuse for the loss. There was another team that played on Friday too and won.

Too many of our players were off on the night and we have to accept that. We can do better and we know it.

Let's go and beat United to preserve our unbeaten home league record this season and secure 2nd place.

This all over. 9 in a row was a fantastic achievement but expecting us to win every game until the end the season with the amount of pressure we were under for each game was unrealistic.

It is an absolute shitter because it seemed we were in with a good chance of winning the title. But the fact we are battling it out at this stage of the season with against a team with much bigger resources than us and no European football is a big achievement in itself.

Hopefully we dust ourselves of an pick up the points we need to secure 2nd and come back next season another year more hungry and experienced ready for another title challenge

Yep, people seemed to conveniently forget that to reel Chelsea in we would have had to win 14 games in a row, an achievement which has never been done before - even by the greatest Fergie or Wenger sides...

Saying that cos it was early wee hours over here when the match started. So after the match I woke up groggy and made the start of my weekend tired..:LOL:

Just seen the game belatedly

Big stadium big occasion gone awry again

I really didn't like Taylor giving Walker a yellow when he won the ball well and set us up on a breakaway

Set the tone for the match

I won't criticise the team too much. But Walker had an off day as did Aldi.

It's tough to know when to punt the ball in the box and when to continue to find an opening.

But of course their goal came from what can happen when you loaf the ball in there, things you can't account for like where the ball drops after a deflection. We maybe should have been more direct more often to get chance openings like most of our recent goals have come from.

We'll just have to see the reaction now to see if we've moved up a mental step from last season.

If we finish with integrity then we'll surely have another great season next year.

Maybe from 3rd to 2nd to 1st

What would she know about running a football club, honestly.

She can't go a day without having a dig at us even though we're ten times the club they are. They're all unbelievably pathetic over there.
agreed, its only when i see how other clubs behave that i remember how well DL runs Spurs. The Wham chairman lives near me and i see him around and about in a Rolls with his name on which i just find odd.
