Leicester maybe shipping a fair amount of goals in, but boy are they taking there chances upfront this season and its refreshing for the premier. We have joint best defence with arsenal and man yoo but currently we are too reliant on kane for goals and if he doesn't score we are on edge for rest of the match wondering where it's gonna come from.

Poch is building something special, we currently have a world class keeper capable of playing for any top team in the world, our defence has so far been on title winning form conceding so few, dier & whoever partnered with have played there part considering how little perm experience they all have, we just need the 3 to pull there socks up and start weighing in with regular goals become ruthless so it's not stiffle kane and you keep spurs at arms reach. the skies the limit if poch can work his magic on the attacking 3 who are the difference between wether we come away with 3pts or not. Ruthless in front of goal should be new year motto

I think being top now and managing to sustain it till the end of May are two different matters altogether.

Indeed they are. And so is the difference in resources between them and us.

It's a gulf

Lovely op which older fans can certainly relate to.

In middle age, I long to see us win it once, and can clearly remember the tussle with everton in the mid 80s which was the only time we've come close in my time.

In the meantime it would be great if we could maintain our record ofcwinning something every decade, even fkin sugar managed it...

If the younger players continue to improve, if the academy rolls out a couple more first teamers, and if the board stumps up for quality to. provide competition in key positions, we can keep ourselves in the mix.

Hope your dream comes true, such fandom deserves it...

A bit off topic but I would be pissed if Leciester was to finish ahead of us much less win the premiership. We would have been there or there abouts only for them to come out of nowhere and beat us :(

I would be happy if anyone won the Premiership this season apart from the woolwich arseholes but the way things are falling for them this season, they'll never have a better opportunity to win it. My worst nightmare.

This season, I'm loving what Leicester are doing, for obvious reasons, and I'm clinging on to the idea of them hanging in there and defying all the pundits. United and City are both too weak to put up much resistance to them and we all know how they always put on a winning run up to the end of the season. It's something I hate to think about but it's like a car crash you can see happening, but can't avoid.:devil::poop::arghh:

I'm only 25 and never expected to win the league in my lifetime, still don't to be honest. Just the nature of football and where I saw us on the food chain. If we did I'd imagine it a lucky fluke.

That being said with all this money being pumped into so many teams it may bring more parity and give a greater chance at success and failure. So who knows.

We'll qualify for CL and/or win a cup this year or next. Just to be at the table and within sight of the head of the table is all we can ask for. I'm grateful that we can consistently compete.

We are very well positioned with the changing landscape. With increased revenues, any team can go out and buy seemingly as many players as they want. But we don't need to do that. The investment in our academy and the investment in young players in the squad means that we can work towards getting the stadium paid off and only add to the squad when quality is needed for particular positions.

I think what will determine whether we make a serious challenge or not is whether Eriksen gets a big purple patch. We're solid at the back and have good depth there. We have a strange midfield but people seem to be rotating through the positions there and putting consistently good performances in. Kane looks like he's going to score regularly no matter what. Now we need someone who can turn good or even bad performances into points at a single kick of a ball and that player is Eriksen

We have the (joint) best goal difference in the league and I've long believed that goal difference, rather than league position, is the best indicator of the strength of a team. So we aren't far off imo. I'm not sure that we're ready to go the distance with Man City or Arsenal, but I do think we have the 3rd best team and squad in the league, and our manager is certainly one of the best, so with luck I think we could win it this year or at least make the top 4.
