What do you think is our best line-up (assuming all are fit)

I think anyone who isn't putting Keane in the starting line-up is mad. He's the only player that has really put a spark in the team, and hes the only striker who seems to hitting the back of the net on a regular basis.

An interesting fact is that every game Keane has started in this season he has scored. Surely he is a key player after knowing this fact.

Chimbonda Dawson King Lee

Lennon Tainio Malbranque Bale

Berbatov Keane

Positions in Italics are weak, and either the players could use replacing or those players in those positions need to pull their socks up.

Robbo - Can be brilliant. Has been awful. For far too long. Is also having a massively negative effect on the defence.

Chimbonda - What happened to him? Can be very good - but has too many lapses when defending. Where's that Alves chappy? (Not that he's much better at defending mind...)

Dawson - As per Chimbonda. Though, I think he would improve massively if he had a regular partner, someone with exprience who would take that responsibilty away from him. King could be that man, Rocha to a lesser extent. (For those asking, RR is currently injured with a Ankle/Foot Injury until 15th December)

Lee - I like Lee. So much energy, is always involved and provides some maturity to the team.... but is he good enough. He lacks a left foot and is often made a mug of. Think we need someone stronger. I'm not convinced BAE is up to it, and Bale is too good at LM to pull him back.

Lennon - He promises so much but can't deliver a ball for toffee. Needs to sort it, or he needs replacing in my opinion. If Routledge can summon some form he might challenge for Azza'a place.... and the boy can cross to boot.

Tainio - Grit, steel. Tiger Teemu can tackle. He gets stuck in. He hasn't exactly had the best of luck with positions he's been asked to play, and his injury history is dire. Given a run in CM though, I think he could do a job, and what's more I think he fits the JR system. He's so versatile we need to keep him, but come January I think the CM spot will be filled by a newbie.

Malbranque - A shining light amongst a pile of poo this season. Needs a go in CM though. Hopefully JR will give him the nod this weekend. He can do a job on the left, though Bale does a much better job there.

We don't need wholesale changes this January, in fact, that's the last thing we need. We need players in their proper positions though, and JR needs to keep them fit and get the very best out of them.

You could equally well argue that the defence has been having a massively negative effect on Robbo!

true true.. and most of our goals have been conceded due to defensive errors than keeping areas. and these defensive errors have left Robbo exposed..

so all in all, we are blaming Robbo for things that aren't entirely his fault at all.

No idea whether Jenas - Malbranque will work in the middle but hey, it's worth a try

A few of you have put kaboul in midfield and tbh this is where i see him playing in the future. He doesn't seem to have the right mentality to be a centre back. I think he could add a lot to our midfield.

can anyone remember who jenas use to play with in midfield at newcastle when he had "potential"? could be an interesting point.
