Just wondering what's on your minds with regards to our new boss.

Who's happy and who's not?

Who's gonna give the guy a fair shot?

Not seen to much so far but i like;

1. That he seems more involved during the games than Jol.....shouting, pointing and gving the players signs on how to play.

2. That he's not in a jog-suit during our games

3. By the early comments it seems like he takes a bigger interest in having conversations with the players.

I'm surely gonna give him a fair shot.......to be honest, he didn't come during an easy period for the team. So he will need time to sort our defence out and i hope he'll put an end to buying expensive english players and all these youngsters that will fade away in our reserves. Hopefully he'll bring in experince!

Too early to give a comprehensive review, I'm pleased and excited from what we have to go on. And three clean sheets out of four is almost unheard of. I think he's fortunate in the run of games he's had, but the way we were playing they were far from gimme's.

The International break is now ell placed for him to really get stuck in with some fitness and some tactics. And with Lennon and JJ out the squad, and Bale on his way back in (and dare I say King too) the future's bright, the future's lilywhite

(I'm very excited about the Jan window... this will state his intentions moreso than anything we've seen thus far)

I've said in other threads I have a good feeling about Ramos. I loved MJ, but I get the impression this guy is a step up. Everything I see, hear and read about him seems exactly what we need - tough no-nonsense type, respected by his players, understands their strengths and weaknesses, keeps things simple and he's already got us looking sharper and more effective imo (I know Wigan were shite, but it's the way we approached it that was good).

It's early doors and this is all conjecture, but I like him.

So far, so very good, but we'll know so much more by the time we've played City in the Carling. If we can win that game and qualify to the UEFA last 32, he's on his way to having a great first season

Performances and results have only been adequate so far, three wins and a draw is obviously not a bad start but the quality of the opposition has to be taken into account. A win against Boro as well and he'd be beyond reproach with a 100% record, but as it stands he's only achieved what we would have expected of him in the four games so far.

Performance-wise, again we're only at the level we should expect, maybe slightly beneath that level in fact - poor against Blackpool, average against Boro, average against Tel Aviv and good against a poor Wigan side.

So in that respect, he's doing well but no better than I would expect any half-decent manager to do.

Where he has impressed me is in his approach so far. A number of players have come out and said there's been an almost tangible rise in confidence about the place since he's arrived, and the little things we hear as semi-insiders seem to suggest he's got a good idea of how he wants us to improve, moreso than when Jol was in charge. Ramos seems to have a sense of direction, and a capability of moving us in that direction.

Four games is too early to really give any indication of how good he'll be for us, especially given the opposition in those four games, but so far the signs are good. Funnily enough, we've still got three weeks or so before we'll start to really see how good he's capable of being, as we don't have a tough run of games until the early-mid December when we go to Anderlecht, City, Portsmouth and Arsenal.

Before then we've got all winnable games - let's just hope we can take as many points as possible from Spam away and Aalborg and Birmingham at home.

A couple of wins in those Premiership games would stand us in MUCH better stead for the tough run, and if we go into that string of games in a good run of form then there isn't really a limit to what we can achieve - getting anything at the Emirates might be a big ask but IF we go into the City and Pompy games with a bit of confidence there's no reason to think we can't get something from each of those games.

If we can get to the New Year having cut the gap between us and the top six to anywhere between six and nine points, that'll set us in good stead for the rest of the season. Every reason to believe we can still be up there by the end of the season, even if we have made it difficult for ourselves in the first third of the season.

I think we may have turned a corner. Given time and the right resources I feel he can deliver success.

short of healing Ledley with his own hands, what more could he have done in the short time that's he's been with us? Bloody great start IMO, you can only beat whats in front of you and all that...VERY PROMISING.

I think the wigan game was a very big test when it comes the the attitude of players.
Before we might of got a 1-0 win maybe a draw and possibly loose, we had the mentality that we were better than other teams. Wigan for example, started really badly on sunday, the old Spurs would of reqalised this and thought "fuck me they are shit, we are going to win" then they would take foot of the gas.

On sunday we didnt seem to have that mentality, we played football for a full 80 minutes, then with 10 to go started to play a little easier, I remember the commentator saying that the last 10 minutes of the match was liek a training game.

With that in mind, Ramos out!!

Sorry habit, i meant Ramos In

I'd like to think we've used up all the bad form in the first part of the season, so going by that I think we'll bulldozer teams in the second half of the season. I hope I'm right.

How many teams lose players to the ANC? Arsenal, Pompey, Chelsea - any others?

Im delighted with him and so far and all the players have been making the right noises in terms of his training methods and man management. he sounds like a great manager and given time i think will bring success to the Lane. He has an air about him that gives off confidence and judging from a few team selections so far he is willing to give people a chance to prove themselves and pick a side that will win rather than a team of favourites. He knows what to do and has already so far addressed our problem defence, 3 clean sheets is a good start no matter who the opposition is.

Ithink every performance under JR has been at least satisfactory and the one v Wigan very good.

The results have overall been very good too - only one wonder strike away from perfection.

The Bolton manager was talking of his team being tired after 6 games in 17 days, we've played the same, but we've won three and drawn one of the last 4 of those 6, having lost the first 2 pre-Ramos.

To get such results after entering into a crisis situation with low morale, key injuries and the media doing their best to bring us down has been a credit to JR Gus and indeed the players

Agree with DC, we are an incredible wonder goal away from having a perfect start under Ramos.

It is clear from the players comments and general look off the team on the pitch that in the very short time he has been in chardge he has made a big positive difference.

For once i'm glad the interntational break has come along, Ramos has got 2 weeks to train his players and get them playing more to his style.

I reckon a complete routing of the hammers in our next game is on the books.
