What do you think of Ramos so far?

Its a bit to early to say, the signs are encouraging and I think he is a very good manager. Its still Ramos honeymoon period right now. When a new manager comes in results always pick up. I'll refer back to this thread in a season or two. If we haven't won a trophy and can't do better than fifth place I am sure that some of the people who are here bigging him up in this thread will turn on him. "He's taken us as far as he can, we should get Capello" etc etc.

Successful managers always bring luck with them when coming into a new club and so far so good for Romos.

Out of the four games under him, surely the last game promises the most while the previous three didn't impress me at all, but considering he's just joined the group for a short period of time, I'd have to say he's met my expectations.

Let's wait until after the spammers game before we pass further judgements. I'm pretty confident we'll beat them though.

Too early. Still lying in the gutter staring at the stars? Holding my breath, praying that the myths around our midfields 'potential', or being anywhere near adequate are torched by January. Can't see a dramatic improvement, particularily in away form, until such an exorcism.

Still at a loss to explain, within our current hierarchy, how Comolli has managed to avoid any responsibility for the shambles? Surprised if he survives the season.

He's had a good start - 3 clean sheets and unbeaten so far. He has had pretty much the easiest run of fixtures that he could have hoped for, but that can only be a good thing. There is no guarantee that Jol would have done any worse in these games, but the change had become necessary and it was lost for Jol.
Ramos has experimented with the team a bit, and we certainly looked better against wigan than we have for a while. He seems like a hard worker and I like that he doesn't give much in the way of post-match interviews - the priority is getting the team sorted out, let Poyet do the press thing. I'd hate for him to make some kind of verbal skidmark and have the papers and pundits mock him. Our club has been made to look foolish enough already this season.

Very positive start under Mr Ramos - time will tell though??? Seems to be getting players to do the basics first again:)

The jury is still out. Someone once conducted an analysis of how the appointment of a new manger impacted on results. Typically there was a short term improvement, before results returned to their former level. Long term improvement depended on transfer market activity.

In our case we are slow starters (partly because Jol's fitness regime was always focused on being in peak condition for the end of season run-in) and doubtless the psychological impact of the Board undermining the manager had contributed to our performing well below our capabilities. So I would be shocked if there is no improvement at all under Ramos. But unless he is truly exceptional, whether or not he can "take us to the next level" is going to depend on transfer activity (and how much of a say he has in it).

do you think SK reads the feedback, and 'constructive criticism' (had to suppress a laugh there) that we give him?

Nope.

He never answers any of my questions about Scouting Management! Maybe I'll have to start PM'ing him!

Hey SK :adios:
