If the poor run is down to Redknapp then surely the good run before it is also down to him?

What about Arsenal, if they had sacked Wenger before Christmas would they be where they are now?

Friedl remains reliable. Walker makes some good runs but is not a quality defender when necessary. Kaboul is sturdy and mostly reliable, plays up to expectations. King has been less than effective for several matches. Gallas is a better bet by far when fit. Nelsen is slow but has heart, not a match winning defender. Assou-Ekotto plays well defensively and links well with the attack, less consistent than at the start of the season. Lennon fluctuates, brilliant or ineffective. Sandro and Livermore have potential even though Sandro had a poor game last time out. Parker has kept his determination but seems tired, less of a controlling influence than early season. Modric is more of a peripheral performer than a "star". Bale has his brilliant moments but disappears for lengthy periods, perhaps he too is tired. VdV is also a shadow of his early season self, tired too? Adebayor is inconsistent and certainly not a 175,000 a week player. Defoe is always enthusiastic which is a plus nowadays. Saha doesn't get into strike positions often enough. A team looking as tired and unenthusiastic as ours does needs inspiration from the manager, ours sits on his bum far too often and his substitutions are uninspired. If we miss CL I'd put part of it down to key injuries during the season. I'd also question what happens in training for so many of our players to appear fatigued. Finally our player acquisitions have not been those of a forward looking club. All in all we need a number of changes in the summer including the manager.

I think the Modric criticism is a little unfair - Against Norwich he had to hang back a play a the parker role - unnatural for him - and obviously a hindrance to his getting forward. Wonder why we couldn't utilisie Krankie against Norwich.

And as for the defence (inc Ledley) the first goal was farcical - but for the second, standing off Bennett, giving him time and umpteen touches until he had lined it up to shoot, that is criminal.
