I find it odd when people say they hate Liverpool but not West Ham. Liverpool really don't envoke much reaction from me at all. Finishing above them is standard now.

Footballing terms yes. But how can you HATE another teams when it's just about a league place. No real bad blood between the clubs..
Why were Chelsea our rivals when they got their money and we were mid table fodder?

Not sure I see what you're getting at here but to clarify this I hate them all, West Ham and Chelsea because of how vile their fans are, Liverpool because of how entitled/deluded their fans are.
West Ham aren't rivals really, apart from in their fans eyes, Liverpool and Chelsea are.

I think it depends on where you live and whether you spend time reading online fans opinions etc.
Liverpool fans do have a massive sense of entitlement and the clubs annoying media presence does make me dislike them, but I’m surrounded by West Ham fans.
Plus the fact that the more West Ham hate us the more I hate them back in return.

Yeah this is it, tbh if West Ham had kicked on last season after Bilic's impressive first season then maybe i'd consider them more of a rival...but they've just regressed again back to relegation scrappers/top half of the table if they're lucky.
They're just irrelevant to me, love beating them, will hate it if they beat our reserves in the Carrier Bag cup, but in the grand scheme of things, they just don't matter..... at all.

Liverpool were the Man U of my youth. The team that always beat us, were spoken about by the media in hushed tones, won the league when we’d get an occasional cup and every glory hunter at school supported. Fuck those guys
West Ham have never, ever been competitive with us in my lifetime, if ever. Might as well have a rivalry with Millwall or Brentford. I only found out where it was in my 20s
