"-Rose, Eriksen, Ali and Kane in our team and we would be a force. Whats more likely is Poch replacing Mou down the line."

Err it'll be easier if you just came and supported us mate
Coutinho’s the only one who’d make out team

& he’s off I reckon

What annoys me is seeing the stats favour Lolpool. Because they’ll claim they were the better side. And they probably were once we went 4-1 up :)

I feel dirty posting this because I think expected goals are a stat thet can be manipilated and easily misconstrued but:

Big test for Liveprool here. Lots of whining about playing a bus parking side last week, that won't be the case today!
I think this will be a cracking game. Spurs at home so the initiative on them to attack, and Liverpool only know how to attack. Expecting goals.
Spurs might trash liverpool looking at those lineups.
Spurs coming out to "The Phantom Menace" always makes me chuckle. So apt.
Kane scores already.
Wish we tested this fecking defence.
Defending . Cant believe we decided not to test those clowns at the back
You just got Kaned.
Can’t believe Jose gave them a free clean sheet. Who am I kidding of course I’m not
Wembley is rocking
Spurs will spank this lot now and make us look even bigger mugs for last week.
Son makes it 2-0. They are going to get tonked.
We want 7! We want 7!
Kane is something else. Very jealous of Spurs.
All of a sudden this weekend is improving
Glad we treated them like Barcelona. Looks well justified now. :houllier:
Kane is just God tier. It's not just the goals he scores, he does everything at an absolutely elite level. That ball to Son was inch perfect.
I Like that
The difference of having a top striker.
Lukakau not a top striker?
Lindelof looks like Maldini compared to Lovren. That's how bad he is.
Should of got Sanchez
Good thing we played it safe against them.
What a pass by Eriksen. Son is soo underrated tbh.
Shocking result. Got to turn spurs over next week or city could be out of sight
Think the hoodoo with Spurs and Wembley is firmly gone now.
Eriksen is De Bruyne level.
Apparently worse than Coutinho.
Spurs are direct today but not with genuine attacking intent rather than aimless lumping of the ball. They're always excellently coached.
Oh look what happens when you attack pool. Spurs have been brilliant but it's making last weekend even more frustrating.
Would love for us to get Poch. Excellent coach!!
You see the difference between a manager who has confidence in his players VS one who doesn't. We should never have parked the bus for the full 90 at Liverpool, even a 20 minute window would have been enough to frighten their defenders.

After watching this you know full well Jose will park the bus again next week at home to the Spuds.]
Either change the set up or we get thumped. Spurs are rampant.
Spurs for the title. They broke their Wembley curse.
Pretty sure Mourinho's just shat his pants watching this. Watch the 7 man defence come out next week
This isn’t ending plus 5 I’m calling it now.

Why oh why can’t Jose get a tune out of us like Poch has Spurs?

We don't have the same quality of player for a start.
Unfortunately Spurs seem like a team who can fight with City for the title. Yes 2 years ago they ended 3rd in a 2 team battle for the title and last year they were close but never close enough but this year they'll be here too. Every other team's form is up and down atm, they look good together with City.
Rather have poch than mourinho
I wanted him straight after Fergie. Him or Pep were my 2. Want him even more now. Hopefully José's going to shape up as he'll be here a while longer yet.
The Liverpool back 4 is can, Gomez, Moreno and matip right now. It would surprise me if the Spurs don't get at least a couple more.
TBH the Spurs defense doesn't look exactly assured either. It's just that without Pogba and Fellaini we won't have any control in midfield and will struggle to get out of our own half to get at them next week.
Good finish from Dele. He's done well in CM today.
This game is bringing about the most insane amount of hindsight I've seen in a while.
Poch has modified his tactics this year against pressing teams. For his first 3 years at Spurs we struggled in matches against other pressing teams, but this year we're sitting deeper and playing much more direct and on the counter against these types of teams (Dortmund, Madrid, Liverpool) and it's paying dividends. Kane / Son / Alli / Eriksen are just lethal on the counter and Poch is really starting to use that as a strength.
It's simple logic really, but the players look so effective executing it.
Son is one of the best players in the world on the counter - pacey and a terrific finisher with both feet, first time. He's just a lot less useful in matches against teams where Spurs control the ball 75% of the time, his passing and touch aren't good enough.

It seems Poch has really figured out how to use him best - he's not an every match starter, but he's absolutely terrific for matches like this
And we parked the bus against that team, really was a huge feckup.
Spurs looking really good. They have developed further this season.

Sanchez is really good and they deal with the injuries in midfield so well. Very impressive and they have more depth in the squad this season no doubt.
Tottenham are toying with Liverpool.
But I heard Flopp was a big game manager who never lost to the top sides?
I hope Jose is watching this game
To think Spurs are coming into this from playing Real Madrid away midweek.
Spurs are still a better team than us imo.
That's depressing.
Scary thing is there is mileage in this side. :nervous:
Spurs and City will be Top 4. They will take 1st and 2nd.

The other 2 spots are up for grabs. We're all as shite as each other

We're miles off them, they have so much more variety to their game. They can lay low and be compact, and still counter and attack in numbers, while we're only competent at the first. They also have far more intensity in their game than we've shown for years, bar a couple of games.

It is depressing, I agree.
He'll be gone by Christmas if this keeps up.

Rodgers was sacked for nearly winning them the league. . . . leaving them in 10th by early October.

Liverpool 9th after this and conceding more PL goals than they've scored
feck me, I knew this place would be bad after yesterday, but this thread is insufferable.
Spurs are so much better than us it's frightening. Their movement, tempo and ball circulation are several levels above ours.
Spuds tearing the Scouse a new one.
The same Scouse team we were afraid of.
Rose, Eriksen, Ali and Kane in our team and we would be a force. Whats more likely is Poch replacing Mou down the line.
It's a bit embarrassing that Spurs have 4 full backs that are better than ours.
I want Spurs to win the league if we dont, and I dont think we will. I want Poch to win something big so he can he a legitimate manager candidate down the line.

I have no idea what i'm looking at here...
It's shows the how likely a chance/shot a team creates is to result in a goal. The bigger the squares the more likely we can expect in the chance to result in a goal. So in the end we created a lot higher quality chances then liverpool that's y our XG is 3 and Pool's was 0.6.

To me XG, are for people that cant fully rely on their eye tests to determine how well a team played or not, so they want some statistical analysis to.

You just know Mourinho won't let them have 4 bad games in a row though, seems too good to be true.

I reckon he has to go for it next week, Utd are the home team and they can't really afford to sit back and contain which will help us.
