Sorry if I called you something bad. I was losing my shit at people leaving on 70 minutes. It felt that it made the whole thing even more humiliating.

Haha so did I but with 5 mins to go just couldnt take any more! In 28 years of going to Spurs I walked out, I hate to see people fuck off early. Felt dirty

Fantastic isn't it!

yeah but don't forget according to Karen Brady they have the "deal of the century" and they have pulled one over on us by winning the olympic stadium.

the fact that this was all predictable and predicted makes it all the more funny. Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

the first time their fans visit our new WHL, they will explode with rage :)

That may be quite a while... unless we draw them in the cup ofc.. but I am sure they can all crane the necks looking up at the premier league from the championship next season..

Shed end:

Going to need to bring our A* game for this one. It will be interesting to see how Spurs lineup. They don't need the win, but I can't believe for one minute they will sit back and allow Chelsea to dictate as it's not their type of style.
-
Tottenham is one of the only fixtures where Conte seems to actually change up the gameplan positively, I'm relatively confident.
-
If Kante gets injured we are out of the top 4 for sure, he’s that crucial to us.
-
Big game this , we need to beat them to keep our top 4 chances alive. We need a big performance, also if Kane is still out then that helps our chances.
-
When we play Spurs we need to stop Christensen, make sure he does not have any time on the ball in our half.(Who?o_O)
-
Good spot, Monday morning and Christian Eriksen not Christensen

Though I would not mind christensen not having much of the ball in our half against the spurs press.
-
Can see a return to a 3-5-2 shape for this one.

Bakayoko was once again very poor last night, but I can see him coming in for Willian, and (theoretically, at least), bulking up the centre of midfield. Regardless of who we've play alongside Kante in there we've been getting overrun with 2 in the middle, so it makes sense to me.

While Morata was still a mile off where he needs to be against Leicester, I'd like to see him continue over Giroud, who hasn't offer much beyond his physicality. Hazard alongside obviously, despite Pedro's goal and Willian's excellent recent form (barring yesterday). Two really good options from the bench, however.

Spurs have plenty of clinical finishers even with Kane out so at lot of this will depend on how well organised we are defensively. Reckon Conte will appreciate that and he has the time to set up a good game plan. Every game's a cup final now, hope we can get the three points when this comes around.
-
I think Baka might prove quite useful against Dembele, if the latter plays.

I could also see us in a 3-5-2 too, though hope Drinkwater is pat of the three in midfield.

Then the question is who do play alongside Morata, Hazard is not the quickest perhaps Willian if he is still in top form.
-
Agree Willian is in the better form, and quicker on the counter, but can't see Hazard being benched if fit. Wouldn't want to see either sit this out to be honest, it's a tough call.
-
No Kane for them it seems.

Basically if we want top 4 we have to win. Anything else and we have zip all chance.
-
Not even a draw will suffice if we want to get top 4, 3 points is a must.
-
I was at the Lane when they broke the 13 game winning streak last season and i'll be at the Bridge with my dad on April fools day to hopefully see the favor returned, my old man's 80th the day before so CFC owe him a result for a lifetime of supporting them.
-
The scary thing about Spurs is that without Kane their still a top team. I just worry about us taking the game to a team that is stacked who don't need the win. It's going to be a cracker. The Champions need to flex their pecs.
-
Even in what is a disappointing season we still get a few crackers to look forward to.
-
Every game a cup final from here on in.

They're fairly cautious and wary of us to be honest, which always makes me more nervy. Am surprised some of the are alluding to Willian being dropped, he simply has to start for them surely.

Hope he doesn't. Always seems to play well against us

I'll be delighted if I don't see him starting but surely we won't get that lucky.

Doesn't really matter with Chelsea. We usually outplay them for 45-60 mins, not kill them off and then get hurt by the attacking threat off the bench (Willian/Pedro/Hazard).

The pattern of play was largely similar in all 3 games vs Chelsea last season, we just killed them off at WHL and kept it tight.

Yeah true, I just guess I'd still be happier seeing him on the bench than off it. With Chelsea it just seems like a mental battle against them, we have all the capabilities to beat them but can we get it right tactically. It's the type of game where even if we go 2-0 up I'll still be massively cautious.

Chelsea usually have a habit of pulling out ridiculous goals against us too. Pedro and Matic last year, plus a couple of direct free kicks recently.

Agreed that we have the tools to win but it's down to our application, being clinical and avoiding silly mistakes.

Seriously?

In the first game at Wembley they came for a draw and hoped to get something on the break, which they did. Conte is scared of us and his selection and tactics for that game showed it. They'll pack the midfield to stifle us and hope that Willian/Hazard can get something on the break.

Shitters.

I don't think he means positively in terms of attacking football, I think he means positively in that he has a clear tactical plan for the specific game. I'm pretty sure he played 3 DMs at Wembley!

My wife unfortunately supports Chelsea so I see them a lot and in the games they've slipped up in it tends to be due to everyone, Conte included, dialling it in a bit. Sunday will be different as they'll be fired up with a well drilled game-plan. That said coming off international break could help us in that regard, less prep time for them and varying conditions of their players.
